I love that some of you never mentioned one word about how good Dallas would be before the season and now you act like they are an unstoppable championship force.

I’m with you. That’s why I’m here saying Dallas isn’t even that good outside of Doncic/Porzingas.. we should be smacking these guys with our role players compared to theres

If we don't improve in the 3rd quarter, I'm shutting this shit off. I'd rather watch 9er highlights than this. At least one of my teams will have a winning record.

Hassan 2 points 2 rebounds?

Curry?

yea is everything alright with him? It’s only the 3rd game of the season and he looks like he’s tired
He will still finish with 20+, he’s not playing great right now at all but he’s earned enough clout to play bad here and there.

Surprisingly ever one talking about Zach but he is +9 and CJ is the other with a plus.

if Dallas had played with a little intelligence and pace, and a little less helter-skelter they's have a 25 point lead

There is no question in my mind Luka Doncic is going to be considered one of the best players in the league very soon.
Again like i said in the pre game. He is almost Larry Bird type good. He doesn't look flashy or fancy. He doesn't move faster or jump higher. He just plays basketball very very good.

Blazer's need a defensive leader. I've said this for a long time. Someone who is going to direct people where to go on defense and not be afraid to call guys out. When I'm watching these last 3 games and the preseason ones, Zach is the only guy that is actually in the correct defensive position on every possession. I wish he would talk more.

None of the other guys, particularly the guards, play defense as a first priority. They only know how to switch a basic screen and roll. When guys on the weakside need to switch off ball because someone is running around the perimeter it always takes him a few seconds before the rotation happens. When teams are running in transition no one goes to pick up their man, because they all expect someone else to. Instead of recognizing that they are on a fast break, taking initiative by picking up the nearest guy, and telling your teammate to go run to the guy in the corner everyone just kind of jogs backwards expecting the other guys to know exactly what they should do. When there is a double screen, forget about it, two guys run towards the ball while an opponent flares to the corner or the angle. Everyone is so focused on what they're gonna do on the next offensive possession.

Individually we don't even have bad defenders. They all play isolation defense pretty well. They can make reads in the passing lanes, we have shot blockers. But they don't play as a unit, they need to TALK.

Fuck it’s pissing me off how they are couple decent role players from really contending. If you don’t have a generational talent like a Doncic it’s just so fucking hard to compete in this league

This is why +/- is not a really reliable stat imo, I mean really bad players will show bad stats like that but in no way would I say Zach is having a good game. CJ seems to have woke up at least.

My point....
Whiteside and Lillard have combined for four (4) points and y'all bitch anout Tolliver.
If Dame and Haasan do what they should, it doesn't really fucking matter what Turner, err, Tolliver does.

He is really good, it really helps when the Blazers aren't playing defense inside or out though. :)

Blazers defensive leader is your avatar man

But wouldn't you be willing to swap Lillard/CJ for Doncic/Porzingis? I would, even if they were the same ages.

that’s a dumb question. Anybody would do that. Considering both of those guys are hella young too.. it also doesn’t hurt Doncic is a generational talent

Why, because of stats? The eye test is telling me that Zach is by far the best defensive player on the team this game. That's why he's a +. The best defensive lineup right now is Zach at center and Hassan out of the game.

I like Nurk, and he's a great rim protector, but he's not a talker either. Blazers were not particularly good on defense last year even with Nurk.
