Do you think Dame will shoot from half court this season (not in an end-of-the-clock scenario) ?

Yes which is why a smart team can go a long way by just being smart. Take back Dames 3 wild ass passes and you have a shot at this game. And there were many other dumb plays.

Do you consider us a below average team when it comes to basketball IQ?

Denver favored by 7
I predicted a 20 point loss
Lost by 5
At least they put up a fight tonight but Denver is about as banged up as we are. The end of the game just wasn't good enough. We didn't have the kind of concentration it takes to pull one of those out.

Just looked it up. Trent is actually rated as a bad defender this year. Knew it. Let’s stop this narrative like he’s this awesome defensive player

It made no sense.

It's confusion and a distrust you're getting from coach that is going to continue to hamper us on defense. No hard and fast rules on defense all season. Just improve that too.

I don't disagree with that. Obviously, he's incredible.

Tonight, though, 5 turnovers and 4-11 from 3.

Last night, 6 turnovers and 1-7 from 3.

Against the Wiz, 3 turnovers and 7-17 from 3.

A lot of those turnovers in these last 2 games were in the 1st quarter. It's not like he's being forced to try to make a spectacular play when he tries to slip through the defense and Kanter on the pick-and-roll with 2 other defenders waiting for him 3 minutes into the game.

People remarked about the way he left the court at the end of the Washington game. I think maybe he thinks he has to do it all himself, but I think that's just going to make things worse. Guys have to start valuing possessions, understand time, score, flow, momentum, make open shots, talk on defense, not save the ball under your own bucket ... but Dame's not helping things by playing like we're down 7 and we have 2 minutes left when, in reality, we just tipped off.
Yeah, I think the lack of options being given to him, outside of himself taking over is taking a huge toll on his efficiency and putting him in a bad spot mentally but I think these next two days off will be good for him. Lets hope he comes out against the Lakers and lets the game come to him because that's when his shots start falling.

Ha. Haha. Hahahah. Hahahaha.

No, not even close. That's the good news - we have serious talent to add to what we saw tonight. Denver has Gary Harris and increasingly old Paul Milsap.

Did Dwight Jaynes really ask Stotts if he'd like to force more than 1 turnover? That's the best question he could come up with?

Stotts said he was unhappy with the passing and ball movement in the 2nd half.

Stotts did not make it sound like CJ is very close to coming back.

Just take a look what we did 4:30 on the clock in 4th. I mean, wtf was that?

This just has not look like an organized team for the last 11 quarters.

I agree. It was a TERRIBLE idea. But I only defend Stotts, so this will be written in invisible ink.

If your defense is invisible, you must have learned to play defense from the Blazers. Nobody sees the Blazers playing defense either.

Denver is the toughest 2nd game location in the league. Regardless of what team is playing. These dudes got into their hotel rooms at 3am. They’re beat. This is why I said we would lose this game by 20.
And this is why you were wrong:

So this chart is about our offense? If it is, it's bullshit. We have the 5th overall team 3P% at 38.4%.

If this was about defense and the amount of threes that we contest, that wouldn't make any sense because we know that we would be like the lowest on the list of threes our opponents take that we contest.

4:30 Blazers are down 3. I was begging for Rondo for 5 years now. Instead I have to watch something like this. It all went fairly south from there.

Probably average. I see us force the ball too much in transition and try high risk low reward passes a lot and settle for poor mid range too much, but I don’t see us foul jump shooters as much as many teams and we don’t turn it over much in general. When I think of a high IQ team I think of the Spurs with Duncan, Parker, Manu etc.

Yeah we do rank 5th but 9th is 0.4 percentage points behind so this might be a little outdated. That's my best guess.
