We should be a sub .500 team right now. Luckily for us, we've stole some games. Hopefully CJ can come back at the level he left off and Nurk can be the old Nurk from 2 years ago. While it won't make us near a championship contender, we should be significantly better.

I'm not going to defend that Minnesota is any good, because I don't think they are.

I disagree Kanter is Portland's 3rd best player. For the second night in a row he was too much of a liabilty that we had to go with Roco/Melo down low, double every possession, and give up a ton of rebounds. Same reason he got bounced from OKC, waived from the NYK, and benched in Boston.

If Kanter is the 3rd best player on our roster, there should be zero expectations we make the playoffs. And I like Kanter, as a backup!

I thought you said Kanter was our 3rd best player, not better than Nurk. Just by availability, most the roster has been better than Nurk this year.

I know personally I try to only repeat the "2nd/3rd best player phrase" when the "Stotts is clueless" phrase is repeated over and over... Trying to provide fair and equal air-time!

Also, to be clear, I don't think this is a "good loss". Just one I thought was somewhat probable.

Yeah, DJ can jump out of the gym and once in a while man up, but he doesn't make the defense pay at all with his lack of offense and ability to put the ball on ground and get to the hoop. Edwards is the type of three we need who can shoot and drive with power. Little is getting there. RoCo also isn't much of a threat unless he tossing 3 and hitting them.
