To make an impact trade doesn't always require your best players. I am not talking about another star here, I am talking Nerlens. We don't have another highly coveted player on the roster so I don't know where you are going with that because I basically just said that by saying our supporting cast is shit. Crabbe has some value right now though. Gotta assume Meyers always does, the league loves a 7 footer that can shoot threes
What makes you think Crabbe for Noel or Meyers for Noel is appealing to the Sixers? There's 28 other potential trading partners out there.

Seems to me like a lot of teams want Milsap. Not sure what philly wants that's just a suggestion that has been rumored for a bit. Crabbe and a first.

Twolves backcourt scored 14 on us, Kings backcourt scored 11 on us, Lakers backcourt scored around 37. We held the Warriors backcourt under 50. So no, we arent getting lit up "almost every night."

Sidereal have big men but need shooters. I'm sure Philly would love to have Crabbe.

So, for arguments sake - and without looking at stats - 35 out of 39 games is still bad, yes?

I mean, if we're doing extremes here.

This is the easy part of our schedule ... Detroit is a sub .500 team and we had them at home. There is NO WAY Portland could afford to lose this game if they're serious about moving up the Western Conference ladder. Will we make the playoffs? Likely. But who wants the 8 seed? Not me.

Nor I.

Yeah to be embarrassed by GS and have to listen for four games which warrior will go off next and how we regressed and what happened?!?! I can see it now. Honestly I am just looking forward to next season, hoping we make moves and maybe pick up some young talent in the draft if we keep the picks

Neil better keep those picks unless it's a no-brainer (Whiteside).

Last 10 Games- opponent backcourt scoring:

Pistons 57
Lakers 35
Warriors 49
TWolves 14
Spurs 36
Kings 11
Toronto 47
Spurs 14
Mavs 39
Kings 18

So no, what happened tonight (which took TWO OVERTIMES mind you) does not happen almost every night.

I don't think portland is going after Noel though,, wish they did. With rumors like Tyson chandler out there, seems if a move is made, it will be disappointing

So... 60% of games when extrapolated out, of opponents backcourts scoring 35+ ... not a concern at all. Got it.

Interesting reading that philly forum and fans opinions on nerlens being traded

"Dude... again - I couldn't disagree more. Noel vaule is dropping down science drafting Embiid, after drafting Okafor it hits the bottom. I'm not sure we can get even 1st rounder for him now which is ridiculus.
It's good to see him playing again, but... honestly I was shocked that Brett doesnt appriciate him that much.

Everyone in this league thinks Nerlens is on the block... science I don't know - way too long.
I tell you something - he shouldn't be involved in trade talk unless it's about top3 pick, or players like Jimmy Butler.
So his trade value is still to low to sell.

I think it's extremely unfair.

To me - Nerlens not Joel is the face of 'the process' - science the begining he fought hard in D, and tried his best in O, he always wanted to be part of new 76ers.

To be fair - he never got a real chance. People was complaining about his poor ofensive game - but let's be honest - his not DMC, Embiid or Okafor type of player - he's more of Gobert/ Jordan type of player - he needs quality guards which can feed him. He can be first player in transition O and first in transition D.

Let's sit down for a second - Ish Smith was the best playmaker he ever played with @ NBA level and it was his best time in Philly. Look at last game with TJ... do you remember how Ben Simmons created Richaun in SL? Can you imagine what he can do with NN?

Okafor **** up our chemistry, he supposed to be our franchise player but he never was good enough to be + player in NBA. He took Nerlens position, than minutes... And he dindn't provided nothing in return.

Nerlens has top5 defensive potential in this league. He's fast, he can block the shots, he can guard switches, he can steal the ball + he can roll to the basket in offence and catch the lobs + he's capable passer and still - he got room to growth, but he needs quality guards in roster, good pick n roll player.

If Embiid is healthy he should play 30-36mpg, sometimes he will need rest. It leaves 18-12mins for Nerlens. I believe that they can play about 10-12mins together - it's about 25-30mpg for Nerlens. I think he deserves money because he fits to smallball basketball as a C, he will be quality C if Embiid gets injiured agin - we just NEED him.

Lets look at our payroll. If someone gives Nerlens money - we can match it - no one will give him max deal. 4yr deal doesnt hurts us much. We need to pay Embiid in 18/19, than Simmons 19/20. 20/21 will be last yr of Noel deal. If we draft this yr star player he will not bother us.

He played 9 games this yr. His ORTG is 132, DRTG 102 - BRETT - give him god damn credit, keep him. He is perfect fit for Simmons, Sarić, and any of top6 2017 draft guards."

*You didn't account for their bench production in that Spurs game. Manu and the other guy logged big minutes and put numbers. Either way, that's still a helluva lot.

Yeah! Science, bitch!

For the pedant, I'll amend my statement, "It happens a little more than every other night." Happy now?
