Dame talks a big game about being a leader, but I'm still waiting for him to play like one.

What bothered me was what I saw when Nurkic went back to the bench in the first quarter. He sat next to a coach and there was no interaction. Sure would be nice if we had a real big man coach he could sit next to.

Maybe. Even probably. OTOH, If Davis were in, Boogie would have done less, and may not have gotten hot. Who knows. I'll take the ugly win and not look back ;)

I had a GREAT time! I trekked across the country to get there by tip off and late comers in line (!!!) kept me from seeing the first minute of the game. Once I was in my seat, though, I was in heaven. Makes me want to move to Portland and get season tickets. I always feel better about our chances when I'm there in person at a home game. I can feel their confidence and so I'm confident. I also like that I can focus on whatever I want. I can see Stotts call Meyers up off the bench, etc. Only downside to watching in person is injury news. Didn't know what happened to A Davis. He just suddenly wasn't playing anymore. You don't get the replay and commentary about what happened to him. I was kinda bummed actually. I wanted to see him play. Hella glad we won though. Nice! The lines were crazy for sure -- funny you mention the A.Davis injury because all of a sudden I received a fantasy basketball alert about his injury with a nice little update on what was happening with him so I knew he was gone and not coming back about 3-4 mins after he left the court. Thanks Yahoo! I also thought the Trail Blazers app had the ability to watch video/replays? Maybe I am mistaken but it's worth a try on Thursday. PDX >> NYC
 
I'm used to epic emotional meltdowns in this place, but this one might take the cake.

The 4th game of the season, we won by 10 to put us at 3-1, and there is a handful of posters ready to jump off a bridge and end this horrible, horrible misery. Wow.

I think there's a strong correlation between Jameer Nelson and Bad Dame Games. Nelson has always bullied Dame.
 
I got to watch the replay of the game last night. What I seen our defense we get hands on passes and 90 percent of the time we was there to contest the shot. Did we have some break down sure but what team doesn't.

Exactly why I laugh every season when people have ridiculously unrealistic expectations.....as if we should be dominating teams with this talent level. Set themselves up for failure that way. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.
 
I'd like to see Dame change his mindset, sometimes, just concentrate on being a distributer and setting up other guys. He need to make teams pay for paying so much attention to him.

Yeah, I don't like it either. Guess I'm just old school, or resistant to change, but it just feels off. Maybe with time, I'll get used to it.

People with unrealistic expectations of the Blazers are equally annoying to the people who come in here.
Attempting to shit on any thing positive revolving the Blazers.
Both are trolling, and both are not worth the time it takes to read.
Generally these two posting styles are only read by one another.

How many posters on here are always negative though? Are there posters who shit on anything positive? I now MM gets a ton of shit for not always seeing pinwheel rainbows. I used to get shit for never posting anything negative "because of who I worked for".......but as the team has changed in the past 7 years or so my views have as well. I hope you don't think I am shitting on people. I think of myself as seeing things realistic and not predicting 60 wins every season is all. I get crap everyday for not thinking we will finish 1st out west.

Thank you for that wonderful advice. I'll become a Knicks fan for awhile, then I"ll come back and never critique anything about the Blazers again.

The problem is he would need multiple teammates who are good scorers for this to happen. Sure he can set other players up, but since we depend on he and CJ to score......I would not want either to "just" concentrate on distributing.

Remember in the finals years ago when LBJ got pissed at the comments about his "selfish" shooting and decided to just be a distributor? They got blown out and he left for Miami. I think Kobe tried to make a point one time too. It doesn't work unless you have teammates who can take over offensively. We need Dame to score.
 
You don't change the team or players concept who should score from one bad game. Dame and CJ are scorers for this team there no one else good enough or put that weight on there shoulders that will say other wise.
