The Blazers wanted their fans to be surprised, an element which has been lacking this season, seeing as how all their games have essentially finished at the end of the 3rd quarter.

He got pissed at a call when Turner bothered a terrible shot by him, yelled at the ref all the way down the floor after already getting a tech earlier for the same thing, then after we made a shot with .3 seconds left, he made a point to make sure he got the ball inbounded to him and whirled and just heaved the ball down the other end of the court and into the stands after the clock expired. It was literally the exact same thing Igoudala did and got tossed for.

We still have a long way to go, many things to improve. Dame and CJ need to start passing to each other, Dame needs to continue to improve on defense, Stotts needs to stop hiding him and give him tougher 1-on-1 assignments cause that's an aspect of defense where he isn't bad. We need to figure out the rotations - some lineups look like they never played together. We need to figure out how to play with both Zach and Meyers, if Zach is guarding Gerald Green we're wasting his biggest strength and Meyers maybe can't guard the perimeter but he isn't very good at guarding the paint either. We played with both Nurkic and Zach for a couple of possesions against the Thunder, that's a lineup I would like us to at least try.
The league is up for grabs, none of the frontrunners is dominant. The Warriors look distressed, the Thunder have a few good players but Westbrook isn't even at the top of his game, The Lakers with Lebron are tough but not unbeatable.
We need to work on coming together as a team and playing better defense. If this happens we'll make the playoffs and have more confidence

I'd be more worried about Sarri, Pochettino and Klopp if I were you. But maybe the Europa League will be kind to you next year.

Just a thought. Maybe the reason he gets put on easier assignments is to save his energy? It's a long season and any coach must know to keep their best player as fresh as possible.
