Okay.

One more win. Albeit they let them back in, so not really all that good.

Still a lot to prove. 3 back to back wins in a month and a half. Unacceptable.

Well, we won. Not because of good coaching or good play, but because someone had to, and Williams cooled down.

In the 3rd quarter Plumlee and Vonleh are largely responsible for getting us a double-digit lead. Vonleh playing great on both ends of the court - offense, defense, rebounding. Then Tater Totts benches Vonleh for the rest of the game and inserts Aminu, at which point the Lakers chip away at our lead, and eventually take the lead themselves. Brilliant.

Trade Aminu for a pick - even a 2nd rounder. I thought he'd be good as a bench player, but he's not.

Ok, it doesn't hurt that the Blazers won, but I love listening to Bill Walton blather on and on and on.

Yeah, where IS Bill's statue?

I think Meyers was in for a good chunk of that time when we lost the lead too. That dude is either really good for us, or really bad. Unfortunately it's like 1 good game for every 8 or 9 bad ones.

Vonleh should be the backup center, even when everyone is healthy. Get that man real minutes.
No, he should be our starting PF. There's literally NOBODY ELSE that deserves to start at PF...well, except for Plumlee.

BUZZKILL!!! long trumpeting fart sound!!!!

Did they, or didn't they, give up a 14 point lead they had in the 3rd?

They won, that is what counts. But still a ton to prove.

Well, they did prove one thing - they just suck a little bit less than the L*kers.

Bill just said something about Western Civilization... and I have no idea why he said that.

LOL.

Vonleh is so frickin' young...what 21 now? The dude is our PF of the future...he's way above the curve for his age..only going to get better....he plays well next to Mason
In his third year he should be showing something as a lottery pick. He's still a bit behind where you would hope honestly, but he's looked OK lately. Secondly, no telling if he'll get better, but they need to find out this year.

He started most of last year when we were playing well. I'm glad Stotts went back to that with the Philly game but stayed with it. Even though we lost, we played well in that game. Meanwhile, people were saying we hit rock bottom. And meanwhile, Philly's beating everyone.

.

not sure he cooled down,he missed one and they just never went back to him.....

"I'm afraid to ask you one more question" Schonz

LOL.

he started out at 18...19 maybe? Didn't get to play really much until here...I'm hyped on this kid's skillset for the price..think he's got a future here....mainly because his lower core strength is way better than any player on our roster...he's not budging...like Brian Grant or Derrick Coleman...the kid is a rock..can shoot with range...not selfish...I think he'll get better than Aldridge

I've met Ken Kesey. Is he still alive?
No...but I knew him for years...since the early 70's and had a beer with him after 9/11 at Chez Ray's in Eugene before it closed...I know a lot of beat poets from those days...we had a lot of common friends. He's passed away....statue downtown in Eugene

Yeah I get that Terry wanted to go with Aminu down the stretch for his experience, but hopefully little by little that will change. Vonleh just needs more experience in those situations. We need his explosiveness and strength

I was in a restaurant in Eugene (not sure which one) and noticed "the bus" outside so I immediately looked for Ken and introduced myself. We both went to Springfield High School. Told him I had just been cast in a Broadway show.

Von had solid game tonight. He doesn't get one play call for him and he get 8 points and 10 rebounds and solid on the defense. Plum had huge game and he had 19 and 13. That 23 Reb between our PF and center both of them was a big key to this win.

I was a big Vonleh apologist last year, but I just don't know. I'd say the odds are still against him, but he's a got a chance. If he can become a kind of David West player that would be a huge boon to this team. He'll never be as skilled as Lamarcus though ... Maybe he can be better at some things, but he doesn't have the scoring ability and never will.
