Would you be satisfied with a split (1-1) for these next 2 games against the Warriors?

We need to keep Rock engaged. He's taking only 6 shots a game. His defense hasn't suffered as a result but we need him to find his rhythm and his shot while becoming a legitimate threat. I wish we'd run plays to find him as a spot up shoot.

He needs to be around 36% and it would open up so much for dame/nurk/cj.

gotcha. What were you posting last year? Same thing just not as accessible this year?
Last year he had access to the "Quote Book". This year the media is handled a bit differently i assume???
I really liked Quote book. Gave some insight to what players and coaches were thinking at the time a decision or play happened. For me it put the human decision making perspective to things. We can all go "Stotts should have played Giles sooner last night" but there was a decision that was made and the Refs were making it for him. I would like to know what his thinking was? The "Quote Book" answered some of those questions. Also Melo moved up on a couple career stats. I'm wondering if that made some of the decision on playing time?

Sly losing a step.

Jordan Kent is the most boring announcer ever.

I agree.

I actually expected a lot better from him because he's a lot more engaging and a lot less mechanical as a host on Blazer talk shows. Hey! he's very young and inexperienced with a huge upside!! (doesn't that work for poorly performing Blazers?)

I never liked the Callabro/Hurd combo....mainly because of Callabro. Hurd was horrible the first half season he was the analyst but he grew into his job and stopped trying to be a comedian

still, give me Mike & Mike over what we've had since they were canned

and Steve Jones was the best analyst ever on Blazer broadcasts

Changed my mind; happy if we win one of two.
I guess I got a little scared when I saw Green was back and Blazer-killer Paschall would be playing and then a graphic showing Curry and Wiggins getting better every game and course a lot of hoopla about Wiseman lately. But I guess Green is not there yet condition-wise and Wiseman didn't look good; if I had only seen him in that one game, I would have taken Wenyen Gabriel over him. I think Curry might have a super game Sunday, so we better be ready!

I love how Neil didn’t even bother with his two way spots. Even the guy he signed doesn’t belong anywhere near the nba. That level of arrogance is actually impressive and funny.
I'd call it just stupid. Only justification I could see is it would limit slightly the chance of a Covid breakout on the team. Maybe it will pay off.

Giles didn't outplay Collins, he outplayed Nurk and Kanter. I think he deserves minutes.

You aren't too far off. They all do different things better than the other, but I can't help but think Giles has the highest ceiling.
The longest wingspan of the 3, best hops, best handles, and had the biggest hands in his draft class. Not sure how Kanter and Nurk's hands are but they sure seem to have problems holding on to the ball. Nurk is still best for now, but Giles is very intriguing with his quickness, dribbling, and passing. His weight is the one drawback at only 240 for a center. (Fine for PF though)

Nope, because losses and wins arent directly correlated to coaching. They still play a good brand of ball but have horrible personnel.
I think many Warrior fans would disagree with you. Their personnel is not “horrible”. Curry, Green, Wiggins, Oubre and Wiseman are not horrible. They need time to mesh. Coaching isn’t about having a system and rigidly sticking with it no matter who is on your roster. You have to adjust. Kerr has not. Just like Stotts does.

I think Collins is the better player. He was the best player in the Final Four and that means a lot to me.

So if Portland would have moved the ball to their bad shooters more often that would be a good thing? I thought the goal was to get your better shooters shots, not the other way around.
Portland has had better offense when moving there ball this season despite them having 3 players in their starting lineup that haven't shot well from 3.

I cant believe you think that ball movement means having your poor shooters shoot 3s. What a random conclusion.

@THE HCP isn't serious about all of this "does this team/coach/player suck now?" shit. He's making fun of all of the posts in here that overreact to a performance or handful of performances. I'm pretty sure he knows Kerr doesn't suck but I guess I could be wrong.
People actually make that point though. Either to try to prove some sort of weak ass point or because they really believe it. So that response was for those people.

Your original point was that the lack of 3pt shooters was a valid excuse for GS because they still move the ball, but it's not for Portland. That's the random conclusion.

See, THIS guy gets me! The S2 rollercoaster ride cracks me up every season. Lose a game,"Fire and trade everybody!"...... we win a game, "We're going to the finals ands so in so its a HOFer!"
There seems to never be a realistic middle ground. I love it!

Why would I post about the middle ground? Nobody cares about the middle ground. The middle ground is boring.

Bro, 49 of the 50 years of this organization is middle ground.

Who said we're going to the finals?

And the only HOFer on our team is Dame.... well.... and Melo but we only have zombie Melo.

They lack 3pt shooting so they struggle. But they still run a good offensive system.

If they iso'd everyone all the time and ran a stagnant offense theyd be even worse.

I’m ready to move on from Collins, most important ability is availability. Name the last big who started off his career missing as many games as Collins who then turned into an iron man?

Thats me with the broadcasts! Solid montages of dunks with some old school hip hop leading to commercial? "Give whoever does that an emmy!!!"(or whatever award it might be) Miss a layup because of a replay from the floor angle? "Fire the whole crew! I'd rather watch on radio."

Middle grounds are for wimps

There's 4 types of people on this forum:

- The people that are positive and have no criticisms
- The people in between (on the roller coaster ride)
- The people that are negative and are all criticism
- The HCP

And those first three groups are constantly bickering and saying intellectually dishonest stuff to try to mess with or get a point on others, acting self-righteous, and talking down to others. Basically, all the annoying stuff I used to do here and that I still have to try not to do :bgrin:

But I'm realizing just how hard it is to avoid here and I want to avoid it but I cant. Theres no enjoyment in it and because I dont want to waste time doing engaging in that.

So if I dont post for a while, that's why. But not like you guys care.:dunno:
