At the end of last year, Nurk was playing down low, and Hark/Vonleh cut to the hoop and got some easy shots. This year we are back to leaving the forwards hang out by the 3pt line and Nurk rarely takes it inside. So basically it leaves us relying on Aminu and Harkless to have good shooting nights.

Now I Just cant wait to the suns game.

But its not the earl watson suns, its the Triano suns who are unsefeated under him. He also knows the blazer playbook.

Dame and CJ didn't have particularly bad shooting nights tonight (they just both did not play well at the end). The bench gave us nothing. And Griffin was getting to the rim at will and there were no adjustments on the defensive end.

Clippers only shot 63% from the FT line, which allowed Portland to hang around. Portland didn't deserve this win. When other teams trap Dame and CJ the offense really struggles. They end up passing to Hark or Aminu who hold the ball and the movement stops.

Theree are a lot of people who harp that Dame/CJ guard combo can't work. Or only go do far. They may have a point.

Again. Dame is a great guy, great leader, amazing community leader but he just needs to play make and feed Cj.

Cj needs to shoot the most on the team and get fed. Great game and all but no reason to blow this game at home to the weak ass clippers

@HCP in the first or second quarter. Around the 4:20 mark during DJ's second free throw the broadcast stopped the live game action. To start telling the viewers what was going around in the NBA or something like that.
You guys did this all the time last year and anyone I ever watched the game with, as well as people on this forum thought it was awful.
Why exactly does the Blazer broadcast stop live game action for Hurd & Calabro to talk about non-blazer related topics?
NWSPORTSNW or wtfever it's called isn't a national broadcast, it's people tuning it to see the Blazers play & the Blazer broadcast.
I see no reason to cut the action, in order to talk about other teams/players.
You're not even delivering to a sponsor. 'The review of x was brought to you by x'. It's just a cut of the action.

I will say though I love the camera angles so far this year. No qualms about it you guys are doing a great job with those.

Didn't we sign Turner to prevent those problem with teams that does that to us. Hell Rivers does that to us everytime they play us this is nothing new but Stotts still haven't adjust to what Rivers have for 2 years.

Dude nobody agrees with u. You love Dame and I do too but hes overrated

No reason to blow a game like this at home to the weak ass clippers

Nobody agrees with me? What?

That doesn't even make any sense.

Dame took 19 shots, CJ took 18. CJ made one more than Dame, CJ missed two free throws.

I'm pretty sure facts are agreeable on all parties, unless you're trump.

...did anyone bring up the fact that Dame seems to be focusing on his album every single day, even though the regular season has started and it's time to ball out?! :dunno:

Listen I’m coo off the wannabe Curry who gives you 40-43 wins a year

Great leader tho

Be careful Stren, Tunchi going to find you if you don't agree with him remember?

We missed a chance to get Jimmy Butler too.

I might just offer up Dame for Anthony Davis. NO has two bigs and we have 2 guards.

Yeah. I don't see Olshey ever trading Dame/CJ. He views players that he drafted/obtained in the draft as part of his legacy. This can be good. Crabbe, Pat, and (via FA) Aminu.... but it can also be exasperating at times. You know you are going to see this player FOR A LONG TIME. Hello Meyers. Given that we hardly ever sign anybody not acquired in through trades or the draft, it is not a bad way to be.

Fake Wannabe Curry

Fuck it, I’d do it

Lillard is respected and good enough for us to receive that type of package. It’s fair

Can we not bash Dame?

Damian Lillard scored 25 points (7-19 FG, 4-9 3-PT, 7-7 FT) and dished out six assists. Lillard has scored 25+ points in three of the first five games.

All five Portland starters reached double figure scoring for the first time this season.

The Trail Blazers made 14 three-pointers (of 31), a new season high.

Portland bested the Clippers on the offensive glass, 16-14.

The Trail Blazers starters outscored their Clippers counterparts, 92-87.

Can we not bash Dame?

Don't see any bashing. Just some possible trade scenarios and some outright justified criticism after his last couple of shooting performances. He is above mere mortals as far as I am concerned. Dame could ask for one of my kidneys and I would probably give it to him.

What was on the screen during this? I don't remember this. I'll be honest. I am SO busy during the game I never actually watch what we call PROGRAM or what is being sent out to you guys. I am busy looking at 12 different camera angles of the action.

The positive from the last two games for me is that we played poorly in both of them and still won against Pelicans and were on the brink of taking the game from Clippers last night too. 3-2 is a good record, we should beat Phoenix on Saturday to make it 4-2 and the next two game will be competitive but I hope we can take at least one of them.

I'm satisfied with our season so far, regardless of last night's result.
