Why would a root canal stop him from playing? Root canal makes the pain go AWAY. I felt great after my root canal.

Explain the Vicodin then.

I know I was out of it for a day or two.

I felt better after my root canal. Didn't sleep for weeks leading up to it from the constant late-night throbbing pain, but as soon as I had the surgery, I felt so much better. The Vicodin would have helped cope leading up to the surgery more than it helped after surgery.

My dentist had to leave the room because they drained the infection for 20+ minutes.

For the record.... He was the Blazers official dentist at the time and said it was one of the worst infections he'd ever seen, was surprised further medical procedures weren't needed because the infection was so horrific.

He called me later that night after the operation and put Sabonis on the phone from the Rose Garden to check on me.

I still spoke more clearly than Sabonis.

This is awesome.

Punchline worth build-up.

Punchline worth build-up.

I used the Vicodin more for fun than for pain relief. When Sabs called and I was higher than a Georgia Pine (for pain relief and pleasure), I thought they were fucking with me. I could hear the thunderous crowd roaring behind it all, so I was able to snap to reality for a few. It was Sabonis, after all.

This is some kind of Lithuanian conspiracy
Well, the conspiracy runs deep, as someone tried to kill the tallest sugar pine about 15 years ago. They girdled it with a chain saw. The suspect was never caught. Pretty sad actually. I used camp and backpack all around that area in the Umpqua national forest.

Well, it is coming from a public safety perspective. It will hurt local fishing guides and rafting outfits as well. And Douglas county does not need any more job loss as it still hasn't recovered from or found an alternative to the logging industry. It's a very depressed place currently. There will be a lot of downed trees this winter and the river will be quite hazardous. I understand closing the river for a while, but how much do we really need to be protected from ourselves?

The real question to be answered on Thursday is: whose defense is for real?

The Clippers are currently first in OPP scoring at 88.0 ppg, second in OPP FG% at .407 and first in OPP 3FG% at .250, but they have played two crap teams (PHO and LAL) and the team that is 29th in scoring. Their defense hadn't been tested.

The Blazers are 4th in OPP scoring at 94.5 ppg, tied for 4th in OPP FG% at .418 and 5th in OPP 3FG% at .290. Their defense has looked much better than last season, but is it sustainable?

BNM

It wouldn't surprise me if we lose this game. We barely beat a Davis-less Pelicans team last night.....Griffin and Jordan are going to be a problem. I've seen no evidence thus far in the season that this new slimmer Nurk can take on someone like Jordan. Nurk will get his, but he won't out-rebound Jordan or be the kind of Defensive monster that Jordan is.

It's cool that we have some real homers in here, balances things out.

Griffin is gonna be a problem. He's liberated now that Sergeant Paul is gone. We don't have anyone that can guard him. Aminu isn't strong enough, Swanigan isn't quick enough. Actually, Ed Davis might be able to do it, or at least has a better chance than the other two. Would give us a look at a Nurk/Davis pairing. I'm saying all this under the assumption that Collins isn't an option, because if he was, I'd put him on Griffin before anyone else.

This. And I'm sorry, but putting Collins on Griffin is laughable. It'll be like a pencil trying to wrestle with a oak log. Collins needs to SERIOUSLY bulk up before he can take on someone like Griffin.

For all Blake can do on offense he still sucks at D. Playing PHO, LAL, and UTA doesn't change that.

And if this shit is true, he'll be a crackhead soon.

Blake Griffin spotted getting cuddly with Kendall Jenner

L.A. Clippers superstar Blake Griffin reportedly started dating reality star Kendall Jenner earlier this summer. The two were spotted out several times, although it was supposedly nothing serious. It’ll almost be two months since, and the two are still out having a good time together.

According to E! News, the two were seen having fun at the Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights with a bunch of other celebrity friends. Multiple sources who saw the two said they seemed to be having a nice time with one another.

“They had a VIP group with a ton of security,” one insider dished, noting that Kylie Jenner, Travis Scott,Jordyn Woods and Hailey Baldwin also tagged along. “They seemed to have fun.”

Another onlooker added, “Kendall and Blake were wrapping their arms around each other…They looked like they were having a good time besides all the guests crowding around them.”

While there’s still no confirmation what the status of Blake Griffin and Kendall Jenner actually is, it doesn’t look as if whatever they have going on is coming to an end anytime soon. The two still appear to be enjoying each other’s company and will likely continue to go out and have fun with one another.

Isn't Kendall the man? Or am I thinking of someone else? Or is it Kylie Jenner who's the man?

PatBev's antics can rattle a young PG like Ball, but that shit won't work on Dame. It is more likely to backfire.

BNM

I don't have the numbers to back it up, and maybe it's just selective memory on my part, but I recall Dame struggling against Beverly's pressure D when we played them in the playoffs. That was a while ago though.....I don't know. When I think Beverly, I think frustrated Dame.

I don't remember exactly, but I remember pissed off Dame. I think he still got his, when hasn't he really?

I remember things differently. I remember Beverly talking a bunch of shit about Dame, and then Dame lighting his ass up in the playoffs.

He wasn't talking shit by game 6.

So now you are saying root canals DON'T hurt? Jesus god almighty....... do you practice these types of posts? Why am I wastin......he can't even see this post. Good lord.
I just spent 3 hours in a dentist chair this past Monday having a root canal done on a molar (4 roots) which they basically couldn't get numb (dentist had to keep injecting lidocaine directly into my tooth just to be able to keep working on it, and even then I could feel nearly everything). However, once it was done and filled, while there was still some site tenderness, there was certainly nothing that would have prevented any physical activity, and nothing stronger than ibuprofen required.

I'm with KS on this. I can't imagine why a root canal would impact Turner's ability to play that next day.

I give you props for not knowing the Jenners. You are a winner at life.

Then you didn't watch the preseason. We soundly beat them, and the only one giving us trouble was Teodosic, who is out with injury now.

Now, preseason doesn't mean much, but it's definitely "evidence."

Regardless, it's a big game (like every game in the fir 10 or 20) because we're establishing who we are. If we win, we're 4-1, and have good claim to being among the league's elite. If we lose, we're 3-2, barely above .500....

You said so yourself: it's preseason. Warriors lost a game in preseason....doesn't mean they're not still the best team in the league statistically.

Tomorrow is going to be a test for us. If NO was any indication, we're not going to do great....yet.....against teams with All Star-caliber Bigs. And LA has two of them.

I think this is a big test for us. I think we have our worse game of the season so far against the pelicans. We struggle in offense all game. Our defense works, aminu is playing very good. Im pretty sure stotts will fix that for this game... Last year i remember a bunch of games we play good and we lost in the final. The good thing: We beat new orleans, thats it. Last year davis get injured too and we still lost for them by 20. We lost for the sixers without embiid in clutch time.

Meyers should play this game, and im very worry about nurk too. Dont know if he can defend jordan. We gotta trust Dame or CJ for tonights game. We gonna need a big perfomance.

So its game day! I hope moda center pump'up our team tonight, we kind need for tonights game.

Against Griffin:
Aminu - too small
Swanigan - too slow
Collins - too frail
Davis - not bad
Vonleh - just right (damn the injury)

Vonleh and Biggie are the bulkiest and have low centers of gravity but Vonleh has much more foot speed. With all of the bigs, it will be interesting to see what happens when he gets back. Definite log jam.

It is his lucky canal root. Without it, he's Alan Crabbe.

The way you win this game is let Griffin get his, but deny the rest of their team a good game.

The best we're going to do is slow him down a bit, but we can stop Beverly and we can box out Jordan.

Defend Jordan? Jordan has no offense. But this is probably not the game he's going to get it going inside.

We should be fine. We just need to work the boards and let our backcourt dominate them.
