Damn what the fuck happened to Melo lately? At worse he was always money with catch and shoot shots. He doesn’t even have that lately

But heres the narrative that people give me a lot that I dont get: He basically has little to no chance for success when he's dropped, but we cant try anything else because it theoretically wouldnt work.
this is absolute nonsense.Nas plays great defense, has a great drive, but misses one three and he's taken out for Melo who immediately bricks a 3 and gets scored on and doesnt rotate under to take away Gobert under the rim.
Melo has had probably only five games this season where he had a positive impactDamn what the fuck happened to Melo lately? At worse he was always money with catch and shoot shots. He doesn’t even have that lately
Yeah I was pleased. Ran drop with Nurkic and he played it beautifully, while Utah didnt capitalize on the open jumpers out of it.I thought our defense in the 1st half (minus the Kanter minutes) was more than acceptable.
Melo comes in and bricks.
Probably, but it makes absolutely no sense not try adjust when what you're running is getting killed. They got a great shot every time we dropped Kanter, so theres no where t otl go but up with an adjustment. Yet I guarantee you we'll run drop with Kanter again in the 2nd half, and itll make no sense.I agree that the logic you're saying you've been given by others is not strong.
I do think Kanter is a liability in EVERY coverage option.
Can someone give me a single goddamn reason we would rather play Melo at center than almost anyone else? I mean half the fucking time it was Dame or Norman or CJ guarding GOBERT.
The way Dame shooting lately I wouldn't bet on that time.Great 1st half. All I wanted was for the Blazers to keep it close for Lillard Time to take over. They've done that plus some!

HOWEVER, if Mitchell starts getting hot hitting the open jumpers itll give him (like he did the first 3 minutes), then we'll need to adjust and start playing up at the point of attack. We wont though.
If Lillard could only regain his form from 3pt range.... wtf is going on
