If picking up Biggies option isn’t a sign of Olsheys ego I don’t know what is. It’s going to take a miracle for him to get another contract in the nba. I’m not even sure he’s good enough for a top European league. Trust me.

Jake and Meyers both showed glimpses in their first year. In fact, Jake was nearly a 50/40/90 rookie and Jake had his outburst against the Warriors. I haven't seen anything close to that from Biggie.
They also had NBA-size and athleticism.

I'm not saying I disagree with you but he looked competent in the Pacers game. He had a double-double off the bench. He also had some decent moments last year. Nothing special but lately he's looked slower than normal.

Biggies body looks soft. It’s sad that with an nba strength program he still hasn’t looked anywhere near the way he did in his first summer league. I think it’s fair to question his work ethic. A guy that limited athletically has to be in perfect shape and he’s nowhere close. Wasn’t he supposed to be a hard worker? Maybe he just doesn’t like professional basketball. Wouldn’t be the first.

I actually think it's a cardio thing. He got thin doing 1.5 hours a day on the bike, and at the beginning of the season at least, he was still doing it Religiously. (VERY likely, still doing that much) However,
that much cardio can mess with your strength program. He doesn't and hasn't looked ripped.

My theory is he got in the best shape he possibly could for the draft process and then gradually reverted back to whatever his program was in college. If you look at photos of him in college, it’s similar to the way he looks now. But if you look at photos of him at summer league last year, completely different. There’s probably some truth to the cardio thing.

.........

Us blowing them the hell out doesn’t really change much I’d still feel this way if we had to play them again in a couple weeks with no Nurk again. Its not a great matchup for us unless we shoot the lights out but believe me I’m happy I was wrong

Tired of people saying "no chance" and acting like games are automatic losses. It's kinda ridiculous.

Considering our performance on Christmas (it was Boxing Day where I live) I don’t think it was a ridiculous statement. I considered it a “maybe” win even if we had Nurk, so I’m a little more pessimistic than most when we face a team like this

Maybe doesn't mean "no chance". Do you know what the word "no" means? And then after a win you act like your prediction was no big deal, yet if we would have lost you would be quoting your own prediction saying, "I told you guys".

You can't have it both ways.

"Even when things went right for the Jazz, they went sour almost immediately. Perhaps nothing exemplified that like a steal and dunk by Donovan Mitchell in the second quarter that ended with the ball hitting a trailing Ricky Rubio in the face.

After the Jazz cut the Blazers lead that had once been at 27 down to 10 with 7:57 left in the third quarter, the Blazers put the game away scoring the next 17 points."

good to see meyers have a game right when were hopefully needing 'assets'.
whilst its great to see him chipping in on the points, holy fuckin bejesus does he still massively suck on D or what?
utterly clueless and non-stop abused. by midgets.

Sure in his extremely small sample size last year he played better, and this year he's been good too. The fact is your original post was clearly trying to use this one game to call out anyone who's criticized ML, it's plain as day when you say all you geniuses that want to get rid of ML that you're trying to use this game to prove some point.
I was trying to use this game as a point. Nurk was injured. Meyers was the Starter. There is no question i was using this game as an example. One that i have used many times in a little different light. In the past i always said. "If Nurk gets injured". This time i didn't have to say that.
The bigger point involved was that again Meyers played well. The constant calls to "Dump" him are nuts. This team is very thin on capable Centers. What they have is Meyers Leonard.
Now here is my bigger question. Was all this simply a ruse to show Meyers to the league? A phantom Nurkic knee injury that brings Meyers in to start against what is arguably one of the best defenses in the league. Trade deadline is around the corner. Giving Meyers up now brings more than a bag of chips and a coke as many have joked on here. If you trade Meyers you better get something back.

With 20 seconds left, I stood to give the team a standing ovation. The woman behind me said “Hey Buddy! Can you sit down so we can see the game?” I sat down but wtf? I should have told her off. Bummer ending to great night.
If she wasn't noticeably disabled you should have said "Stand up and clap. Then you will be able to see".

Why so hard to get the reference? Baryshnikov was a household name ballet dancer in the 80s. He even did movies. If you knew who Kareem was, you knew who Baryshnikov was. He was that famous.
Yeah he was.

Dude, you’re giving too much credit to these S2 folks.

Not trying to hate, I’m just being honest.

You life, experiences, interests..... most these dudes would not understand. Admittedly, I’d know the name but nothing else if not for my relationship. No disrespect intended.
Wow?

Are your knees sore?:bgrin:

If it wasn't for the deadline, I'd completely shut off and go on a blackout from the Blazers myself.

Our division record needs to improve.

DEN: 6-1
OKC: 4-4
POR: 4-7
UTA: 5-6
MIN: 4-5

This is after the win. We have to win all our remaining 5 division games to match last year's record.

Somehow I don’t see that happening:

Denver home and away.
OKC home and away (the away is a b2b - again).
Min away.

So do people still believe that Dame and CJ can't co-exist?
