Frustrating. Heartbreaking. Exhausting.
It feels like it's the same story every night for the Blazers. If it's not the offense, it's the defense, or vice versa.
We had no business losing that game. Honestly, it should have been a 10+ victory.
The defense was solid by our standards, yet we can't get out of our own way on offense.
Whether it's the unforced turnovers, leading to Denver buckets in transition, or the impatient shot attempts, the offense was the culprit tonight. Until Portland learns to be more selective and discipline on offense, we're going nowhere. For example, Dame kept taking deep 3's when he could've attacked the rack, just as he did on the second-to-last possession. Nurkic being baited by Jokic into hoisting that airball three. This list goes on and on.
It's tough, because we did a lot of good things tonight and yet you look at the scoreboard and we still came up short to a Denver team without Murray.
