Actually it IS Lillard’s fault. 7 TO’s is too many. He’s got to clean that up.
A lot of those were drop offs to Skal in the paint that Skal wasn't ready for...it's why I said Skal needs to be better at corralling the ball in the paint or off the glass. We're going to have those turnovers until chemistry improves with the nine new players....it shows early on.

Yeah, I've noticed that in some previous games that he doesn't have strong hands and it seemed more pronounced last night as he fumble some passes at the top of the key as well as not being able to control a rebound that he had. Hopefully he works on his strength and improves in that area as last night it was a liability at times.

Hey...Tolliver guarded a future HOFer all night....Al Horford is an all-star, all nba stud...Tolliver had the hardest defensive assignment in the game ..and he played stretches of good defense but that was a glaring mismatch to say the least

Woosh

Stotts defenders are starting to remind me of Truml supporters.

My observation is the Skal doesn't have great hands for corralling a ball.

As opposed to Tolliver and his whopping 2 rebounds in 27 minutes. You use that against Skal but ignore that he's also a scoring AND shot-blocking presence with added length for shot disruption. What are you missing about the argument between playing Skal vs. playing Tolliver? You are clearly missing something.

I like Skal and don't need to compare him to AT...Skal is way more talented, AT is way more experienced...AT mentored Skal in Sacramento actually...Skal is legit 7ft...he needs more boards than 4 in a game...AT was not rebounding well or scoring, he was trying to keep Al Horford from getting 50 and did an ok job at it. We had no rim protection at all.

He was merely commenting on Skal's inability to maintain control of some passes and rebounds. Has nothing to do with quantity of rebounds as there were times last night he either fumbled the ball on the entry pass or had the rebound taken away from him. He needs to get stronger and not let that happen and I like Skal and want him to become better at certain things.

I was hoping itd inspire you, but it didnt.

sure. more excuses and never one to take responsibility for his own actions. This is the new jonesy same as the old jonesy. You do realize that people that use tds are trump supporters don't you? And why would the Idaho Transportation Department inspire me as I am in Oregon? :biglaugh:

Respond away. See ya! :smiley-smiley-049: :hello:

Once again, it has nothing to do with his personality. He's solid regular season coach.

If you know I'm critical of Stotts then you also know that it's way more than one game.
Yeah it's about 30 losses a year. At least i hope it's not a lot more than that this year. Might be if the injuries don't clear up pretty soon. One more and this team will resemble the Warriors.

Yeah he made mention of that. Lillard was not happy at all with his play in the end of that game.

I just got done watching the game and the 2nd chance was the difference and points in the paint. The initial defense overall pretty decent but if you can't corral the rebound then your going be in trouble. Yes I thought they should ride Skals instead of Tolliver in the last part of the game and there I thought Stotts mess up. If we had Whiteside in there getting the boards I really believe we have won the game.

Maybe you missed the "he's a solid regular season coach" part. In his 8th season here I expect him to be better in those situations.

Well i didn't miss it. I just don't agree with the argument. IMO a coach is a coach.

Pretty fair assessment IMO. The thing i am looking at is we are talking about playing Tolliver over Skal. When those are your options things are tough. I understand both opinions. Maybe Skal gets them an easy inside bucket or a rebound Tolliver doesn't? Maybe Tolliver hits that three he missed and Lillard gets that pass inside to CJ because Tolliver stretched the floor better? Like i said... If we are discussing Skal or Tolliver being a turning point the Blazers are in trouble.

I couldn't sleep last night playing that shot over and over in my head.

Says the guy who avoided taking responsibility for creating a burner account just to talk shit to someone.
How old are you?

Obviously, I dont pay enough attention to trump supporters. Maybe thats why I'm still sane.
