that trash oubre jr shoot 6-11 3-pointers, while hes career 32% 3-point shooter

they shoot 47% on 3-pointers, blazers shoot 31% on 3-pointers

dame 5-20 with 2-14 3-pointers
take out the bench and reflect on the shooting numbers

Some things don't change with our 2 guards they must get there attempts up 43 shots to get there points. Basically they both shot like shit but kept shooting and yes they a lot assist but shooting like maybe get ball to someone else to increase your assist totals. The hottest shooter on the floor was sitting on the bench in Simons. Overall the 1st unit got out play and Billups didn't stay with someone that hot tonight. We gave up 20 3point made.

Defending the 3 pointer, can’t let a team shoot about 50%. The losses are looking similar

Dame forcing some ugly shots. He literally shot us out of the game tonight.
The entire game changed when Nurk got Stupid.
They had the hornets questioning themselves and just like that they had control.

How about Simon though guys? He’s looking great. I’m ready to rebuild, pay simons, and go from there and start a new era

Lillard can't shoot, and he's killing us is the sad reality. I cringed when they subbed out Ant and put in Dame with 9.5 minutes left.

Lost to a good team on the road. Gonna happen this year. Expect it.
Tomorrow is Philly. My bet is you see Dame cook them. He’s gonna be dialed in tomorrow.
Blazers back to .500 at 3-3. Yep!

I think this loss is pretty simple to explain. We aren't winning against quality teams when Dame shoots like that. We also aren't big enough or athletic enough to make the rotations that this defense requires. Also our lack of size while switching everything allows the opposing team to run simple plays that end up with a mouse in the house situation under the hoop.

CJ had the most points for us but a plus/minus of minus 18. I hope that's not how Billups wants us to play.

Hey Sixers, how about Dame for Simmons now?
Fuck that... Morey would cream his pants. Dame is just in a slump, when he comes out of it he'll still be one of the best in the league... even better than before with the defense he's bringing. Trade CJ and RoCo for Simmons and filler.

Ok? Who said he was very good? Or even good?

Tony Snell doesn’t have to be very good. He could be bad and that would still be better than “very bad”, hence my comment.

you think snell is comparable to Roco? LOL. Standard Blazer fan living in the moment.

I cannot wait for the first time Billups says “Well. We didn’t shoot the ball well. Gotta make some shots”. Because that is exactly what this team needed tonight. They needed some shots to fall and this is a win.

setting aside the trash shooting by Dame and the poor defense, one thing I saw tonight was that Charlotte countered Portland's collection of 6'3 with:

Miles Bridges 6-6
Gordon Hayward 6-7
LaMelo Ball 6-6
Kelly Oubre Jr. 6-7
Cody Martin 6-5
P.J. Washington 6-7

that made difference in the quality of shots the Blazers got

(by the way, it's kind of sad how much a shell-of-himself Hayward is now

Some people thinks we are legit and answer to that your not legit until you can win on the road.

Our rotations were good in the first half. They literally stopped making them in the 4th, whether it's cause they forgot or they were tired is up for debate, but that's on Chauncey for riding the guys that weren't doing what they were supposed to. Not to mention not holding the two guards accountable on offense. CJ and Dame devolved back to your turn my turn in the 4th and that cannot happen.

Only 6 games in, but I'm even more convinced the Blazers need a CJ for Simmons move. 24 shots for CJ....at the expense of other players who were shooting well. Dame isn't off the hook either, but he isn't going anywhere.

The Blazers need more size and someone who can legitimately defend 1-on-1. They don't really have that now.

CJ needs his own team where he isn't sharing with a backcourt teammate like Dame. This is very little different than years past.
