Do you think the Grizzlies will finish ahead of the Blazers at season's end?

This reminds me of my packers 2 years ago when the star and the coach stop seeing eye to eye. It was the star player that made the coach look good for along time. The coach got fire that off season brought in a new coach and went to the NFC conference finally.

I hope you're right, but I think the odds of us getting to the WCF with a new coach next year is very slim.

No he's not. He's got youth and "potential" but he's not actually better right now. But even if you think he is, my point still stands, the talent disparity on the floor is monumental since Jackson didn't play today.

I just don't agree. As I said, Portland may have better talent when you break it down on paper. But the Grizz talent fits together a lot better. The sum of the parts is greater than the parts. Portland is just the opposite

and you need to understand I'm in no way defending Stotts here. He needs to be fired. But the clown who designed this dysfunctional roster needs to be on the same train out of town

You just disagreed with me and then agreed with me. Lol

The only "fit" issue I have is CJ potentially but you keep touting the sum of all parts on a lottery team. Lol Not the best example. They are more of a team because the coach gets all five players involved, not just two like Stotts.

What kind of drugs are you taking? Please share.

he's a 6'2 guard who has consistently been limited in the playoffs due 49M/year over the next 4 seasons. That's a tough contract to match up in a trade and many of the reasons Portland gave him that supermax contract aren't going to hold much leverage for other teams

try and come up with a CBA legal trade that brings in graet rebuilding assets and is realistic for the other team

To your point, I seriously doubt Memphis would trade Jackson for either of those two.

They might not even trade Morant for Dame either. Or Valanciunas for Nurk. Or Brooks for DJJ. Or Anderson for RoCo.
Might not trade Morant for Dame? There is zero chance they would. They would be so dumb for doing that.

If JJJ and JV both play in the game on Wednesday, these guys are going to crush us.

In 1 minute? That is actually heroically efficient. Which guarantees Stotts won't play him more minutes.

Unfortunately, it was in 5 minutes where we got outscored by 10.

Put a fork in this team they are done. So disappointing seeing this kind of effort going down to fight for the playoffs.

Remember a month ago when the experts were saying the MVP was Dame’s to lose? He did.

Yeah, but how do you not go for it on 4th? I'm still scratching my head on this one.

c'mon man...Morant, Jackson, JV, Brooks, Anderson, Clarke, Winslow. They have more rotational players than you're crediting

and Melton is averaging 18-5-5 per36 while shooting 45% on three's and posting a .610 TS%; his PER would rank 4th on the Blazers
You think not having a backup PG if why we are so mediocre?

Plenty to blame Neil about and i'm OK with a full teardown including firing him, but he's not the core problem with this team this season. That's is 100% coaching.

IMO, the roster is average as compared to other teams in the league. Why were expectations so high? We though Nurk would be back and the two new forwards in the starting line up would put us over the top? One's playing out of positiona and the other is a bench player. This team simply doesn't have the players needed to contend but we certainly should be a playoff team.

how did you arrive at that interpretation of what I said?

I was responding to your assertion that Melton wasn't good enough to be in Portland's 9 man rotation. That's loopy. Melton is better than Simons, Melo, Little, & Jones. He's even the type of player that Stotts likes to play, like Napier and Curry

who hired Stotts and has kept giving him contract extensions? Who keeps trying to fix the Blazers by bringing in different role players? Who was it that locked Portland into major struggles with the luxury tax for the last 5 years? Who was it that committed Portland into being the "guardians of Melo's legacy"...that's his own fucking words by the way

in no way is that a defense of Stotts, but saying that 100% of Portland's problem are Stotts makes no sense at all to me

I think Dame & CJ were also proponents of bringing Melo on board.

Probably not just wanted I was pointing out the star player on not seeing eye to eye with coaches the way his doing things. Dame still loves him but it's time to move on soon or later.
