• The Grizzlies narrowly outrebounded the Trail Blazers, 54-53. It was the sixth time Portland has recorded at least 53 boards this season, and first time they’ve recorded 50+ in back-to-back games.
• Portland shot 14-of-38 (36.8%) from beyond the arc, while Memphis was 12-of-23 (52.2%) from 3-PT range. Portland has now hit at least 14 threes in 42 games this season, the second-most behind the Utah Jazz (44). The Grizzlies 52.2% marked their second-best shooting performance from deep this season (57.9%, Feb. 25 vs. LAC).
• The Trail Blazers outscored the Grizzlies 16-0 in fourth quarter transition scoring. Portland’s 26 total fast break points was the second-highest total of the 2020-21 season (30, Jan. 7 vs MIN). The Grizzlies finished with 33 fast break points.
• Portland recorded 11 steals to nine for Memphis, recording 11+ for the seventh time this season.
PLAYER
• CJ McCollum led Portland with 27 points (10-21 FG, 4-10 3-PT, 3-3 FT), two rebounds and three assists. It was McCollum’s fifth game scoring 20+ points in his last six appearances.
• Jusuf Nurkic recorded 16 points (6-13 FG, 4-5 FT), 19 rebounds, five assists, one steal and two blocks. Nurkic recorded 15+ rebounds in consecutive contests for the first time in his career, and his 19 rebounds tied the fourth-highest total of his career.
• Damian Lillard added 23 points (8-27 FG, 4-10 3-PT, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block. Lillard has now scored at least 20 points in each of his last seven games against the Grizzlies.
• Norman Powell finished with 17 points (7-15 FG, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, four assists and three steals. It was his seventh game of the season with at least three steals.
• Carmelo Anthony scored 12 points (4-8 3-PT), to go with three rebounds and two steals. All 12 of his points came in the fourth quarter.
• Anfernee Simons had eight points (2-2 3-PT, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and one assist in 13 minutes off the bench.
• Enes Kanter recorded seven points (2-3 FG, 3-4 FT), five rebounds and one block.
• Ja Morant led Memphis with 28 points (8-15 FG, 3-4 3-PT, 9-12 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and two steals. Morant has recorded at least 28 points in each of his last two games, doing so for just the third time in his career.
• Jonas Valanciunas added 21 points (9-17 FG, 3-4 3-PT), 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals. It was his 41st double-double of the season, tied for the third-most in the league, and his three made three-pointers tied a career-high (twice).
