That's a either a block or a charge, it sure isn't "nothing". I hate how inconsistent NBA refs are, I'm not saying the Blazers are losing because of the refs, but one play they'll call a foul on almost no contact, then the next they won't call a foul on a lot of contact, it's all over the place...

Nurk does this fucking shit all the time when he's in foul trouble. He basically plays to compound the issue. We're down 7 basically starting Meyers Leonard so it could be worse but FUCK.

We are killing ourselves. Someone please get into Nurk's fucking head that he can't commit fouls even if it means giving up a basket or two.

it's rinse & repeat: Raptors are going hard at Dame, trying to deny him the ball, drives, and shots; they are allowing CJ space, and CJ is having a good game...but Portland is losing. Several teams have copied the Pelicans template this year and Portland doesn't seem to have an answer

It's almost as if they don't want you to know what is a foul and what isn't...

Did Aminu just try to go between his legs? He can't dribble as it is....that turnover had inevitability written all over it.
He has less than one turnover per game. That was a turnover because of the move he tried to make, not because he can't dribble. He can handle the ball much better than people think, he's improved a lot in that area this year. Had a great drive earlier this game where he handled the ball really well against contact. People just can't get over the stigma.

Just when things are going well, just count on Stotts to play Meyers 19 minutes in a half where he does literally nothing offensively and plays absolutely god awful defense...
If he's that determined to not play Collins why not just go really small?

It'd help if we had a center that wasn't scared of going to the rim offensively. And defense is where we're really struggling right now.

Even beyond the whole Portland homer biased thing I don't understand how these two ESPN announcers whose sole job is to know the NBA can mess up so many names so often. It kinda pisses me off that they get paid what they do and suck so bad at their job.

8 years into Terry Porter's career, Hubie was calling him Kevin Porter

The problem with the 3rd and crucial foul on Nurk, was that 3-4 players made the exact same move without being called for a foul, i.e J Lin
Difference is Lin isn't 290 pounds of man meat crashing into someone.

Sometimes you have to accept what the refs are doing in a game and adjust. Because if you don't you will just lose. Yeah, it's not fair, but if you want to win the game you must do it.

Jeez our

I'm not sure Terry gives a shit, honestly. His belief in his system is absolute. Even continuous playoff losses it's obvious, he'd rather fail with what he knows than lose with what he doesn't.

Yeah, if the refs are going to let you just foul the shit out of Dame and not hardly call anything it's a no brainer of a strategy.

Don't really have the players available to affectively go with Aminu at Center.

I don't know what he has against Zach. I would've tried Meyers against Gasol too, but after about 3-5 minutes it was time to try Zach.

With Kanter wed have the lead
