If you disagree with me, your dumb.

Thanks,

Bones
Not at all.

Dont think you're dumb. Telling me "HS and NBA are different" was dumb though. That's the same as me telling you "night and day are opposites".

@BonesJones

Why can't we just respectfully discuss basketball? We can disagree without attacking each others knowledge of the game.

I know I'm at fault here just as much as you, but I really don't like how most of our exchanges end up being like because I honestly respect your opinion and enjoy discussing basketball with you (most of the time).

Again, the comment was not meant to insinuate that you didn't know the difference, but sorry if it came off that way.

I just get annoyed with you (or anyone) pointing out obvious stuff that we both know is already true, mostly. Often times its like, "Does this dude really feel the need to explain to me that HS and NBA are different levels? Seriously?"... Im using experience to explain my opinion and it seems like you're trying to discount that with quotes like those as if "You didnt play in the NBA so your experience brings you no insight". That's how it comes across to me.

I wouldnt say all-around great. His scoring was great, but some of his turnovers and decisions on offense were ridiculous, and numerous. His off-ball defense was very bad too. It sucks, if he was simply mediocre in those areas to go along with his tremendous scoring night, we would've won.
That's fair. I agree on those turnovers. They seem to happen every game. He's an integral part of this team, but he also needs to understand the big picture. Sometimes he seems to go into this "Harlem Globetrotters" mode. Yes, showtime is a part of making the game we all love entertaining. But it can't get in the way of the ultimate goal, winning the game.

Ain't gonna happen. Many have tried to no avail. "Stotts Sucks!" is all you will get. Doesn't ever account that his HS experience might not equate to trying to guard a player on the NBA level like Kawhi Leonard or maybe Kevin Durant or even Steph Curry. You can plug in whatever top five MVP player you like. Lebron would work also. Harden? They make shots and get advantages because they are the very best at the very best level. Kudos for trying but you will eventually give up.

This is the classic shit that gets me trying to set people straight and gets others saying "Bones" always argues.
Bones: From my experience, you should be able to be prepared for specific situations and should have specific schemes to guard in those specific situations.
JDC: HS is different from the NBA.
KJ: Yeah, he doesn't realize his HS experience isn't equal to guarding NBA players. (You know this isn't true smfh).
Then I'll respond, and then someone will come in here and somehow blame it on me with "You argue with everyone!!!"

Maybe if people didn't respond with such bullshit. Smh. Ridiculous.

So apparently you can't be prepared for specific situations through practice in the NBA. Why? Because I did it in HS and college and that's not the same as the NBA, obviously.

C.J. McCollum scored 35 points and matched a career best by making seven 3-pointers, but it wasn't enough to extend Portland's season-best five-game winning streak.

Lillard scored 24 points and Jake Layman had 13 as the Trail Blazers suffered their first lost after winning four straight to begin a seven-game trip.

''Obviously it's disappointing to lose but I like the way we competed,'' Portland coach Terry Stotts said.

The Blazers fight and scrapped, the bench helped mount a big comeback, and losing a nail biter on the road is nothing to hang your head over.

But there are thing that can be improved which is what you hope happens.

CJ's late turnover splitting a double team
Cj's late '3' that barely drew iron
Two late missed FT's
Dame/CJ in for the last possession on D
Not blitzing and/or switching Kawhi

Great effort... but that are a number of opportunities for improvement in the last minute or so.

Of course you can. That has never been the response to you and you know it. But lets just leave it at you are right and we are all wrong.

Officiating seemed to favor the Raptors in this game - but it did not seem to me like it was blatant - they made some mistakes and it seems like they made a couple more on the Blazers this game - I still think that this was a very encouraging game for the Blazers - because if they had ET, EK or no ML - they win this game, imho - no matter what the officiating was.

I explain my opinion based on experience, you come in here talking shit and discounting and mocking what Im saying, then I explain how you're doing that and use your logic to show why it makes no sense to mock me, and you respond with some sarcastic smartass shit like "We are all wrong and you are right"?

Smh.

It goes both ways
Definitely, very rarely is it extremely bad in one direction. I still think its frustrating when sometimes its a foul, sometimes it isnt. Then when its obvious they got one wrong so they do a make up call. Then the way techs are Handled, Ive seem Aminu get a tech for looking at a ref, but some guys spend half the game yelling and complaning (heck I realize Dame is in the refs ear all game so he benefits from it), I just think a tech should be the same for everyone, a foul etc. Its not even just “stars” get the calls, its just like they’re making up the rules as they go sometimes.

Stop blaming CJ.

This loss is on Stotts and his FAILURE to play Zach Collins on the first half.

Plain and simple.
Meyers was useless last night. Zach played some quality minutes for sure. Meyers is a quality spokesman for the team, but that's about it.

CJ is definitely not too blame. Just wish he could do the simple little things at a mediocre level to go with his insane scoring outputs.

Dude... You're making this forum almost unreadable.

Good, because none of this was my fault. Instead of complaining about me for me reacting to others who mock or take petty shots at me, go argue with another forum about how theres no such thing as the "zone".

I think JDC realized how it came across to me. I explained how it did. Things were fine. All I until KJ butted in to mock me and talk shit based on his own misinterpretations. Common theme. And then I defend myself from the same guy who keeps starting shit with me, and then you get random people blaming me for it.

It's as if random people keep trying to fight you at school, and you get in trouble with the office over it because "Well, you get in a lot of fights".

There ya go. Try to run someone else off. Not even being subtle about it.
