this is the opposite of letting go....and seems to be a habit Bones. flag the post...don't drag it over pages in the forum...let mods moderate by using the tools available..mods here are great by the waySeriously Mod? You're going to let someone attack me and insult me and say nothing to him while telling me to let go?
What a joke.
I've been on the record saying hes improved and hasnt been doing a bad job lately (You need to watch more TBG!). Doesnt mean his repeated mistakes wont drive me crazy every time they happen.Early in the season we were terrible on the road....we just had our best road trip...we are trying to integrate two new players and not only get them comfortable with the system but get the players we have comfortable with them...it was always going to be a transition and Stotts has addressed this and the challenge that comes with it....Stotts went from coaching the CBA to being a regular playoff coach in the West...I'd say he's improved which is where you seem stubbornly unwilling to point out. End game adjustments happen in split seconds...we have not executed well enough when we lose an end game....same as the teams we beat...it's really that simple. It's way too early to define what we are or aren't with Hood and Kanter but it's going to take time for them to not have to think about where to be in a game...they've essentially been given rotation spots without a practice

For what? I didnt break a single rule.and a mod pm'd him as well right?
I love how you would've lit me up for saying the same things as Cupwizer has said, but ignore it when he dies it and instead you blame me.for all this when the roles are completely reversed. That's why you have 0 credibility when you tell me stuff like this. You'll complain or tell me how Im responding is wrong no matter what the situation is what is said to me. It's been a back and forth so not only did he start it but he also carried along just as much (if not more so). Smh.this is the opposite of letting go....and seems to be a habit Bones. flag the post...don't drag it over pages in the forum
There was indication that that would occur. I am unaware one way or the other on that.and a mod pm'd him as well right?
PossiblyMight be time to just lock this game thread eh?
Why does it need to? I didn't break a rule or cause this. There was indication that that would occur. I am unaware one way or the other on that.
For what? I didnt break a single rule.
Please explain.actually you did.
I've pm'd Cup about insults before....it's the mods job to deal with flagged posts and they don't deserve to be bashed for how, when or why they do it in my view.I love how you would've lit me up for sayi g the same things as Cupwizer has said, but ignore it when he dies it and instead you blame me.for all this when the roles are completely reversed. We deserve to be bashed constantly. We're inconsistent, subjective, and all-around inadequate. In fact, if people would pay more attention to the poor moderating than to the unnecessarily inflammatory posting, this would be a much better place.I've pm'd Cup about insults before....it's the mods job to deal with flagged posts and they don't deserve to be bashed for how, when or why they do it in my view.
If I'm going to be your fixer you need to play along!!!We deserve to be bashed constantly. We're inconsistent, subjective, and all-around inadequate. In fact, if people would pay more attention to the poor moderating than to the unnecessarily inflammatory posting, this would be a much better place.
We don't have to drag this on but I'm going to respond to the things youre directing at me. Again, regardless, if I said the thing Cup did to someone else you would've lit me up for it and would've said nothing if someone else responded like I did.I've pm'd Cup about insults before....it's the mods job to deal with flagged posts and they don't deserve to be bashed for how, when or why they do it in my view.
NOPE! Stotts blew this game! Here's something to try....give props to the Grizz for locking down on D in the 4th......or will your feelings allow this? Memphis won because they earned it...not because we threw a game...credit Conley for doing what he's capable of doing. For the tail end of a long ass 7 game road trip...we ran out of gas at the end of that game....shit happens...
Group effort, honestly.NOPE! Stotts blew this game!
Do you remember that movie "The Green Mile"? You know, the one where Michael Clarke Duncan's character would literally suck all the pain and sickness out of people and take it upon himself, and then like, belch it out (in the form of a million freaky looking black insects)? If I'm going to be your fixer you need to play along!!!
Maybe he is analyzing your disposition? Yeah definitely Green on that one.I'm not characterizing him at all. I analyze his coaching decisions and provide my opinion. I'm also stating my opinion on what they do and do not deserve props for, since I get a constant barrage of "You have to give Stotts props for this", etc.
That's quite different than CW purposely, negatively mischaracterizing my disposition because he doesnt like my opinion in regards to a coaching topic.
I was gonna stay out.... Honestly.Group effort, honestly.
Just want to point out I didn't really direct this at you, there are a lot of posters including myself who give Stotts crap for everything...I hope you realize the main reason I bring it up is because of people calling out others for not giving Stotts props, stating what he should be given props for, etc.
Do you really not think it was common sense to leave a red hot Rodneh Hood in the game instead of subbing in Harkless over him?
Also,, I complain about players too. But I lit off those mistakes ser unique, I'm the moment plays that are mistakes due to fired legs, lack of skill, poor execution, etc.
It's not the same mind-boggling mistakes as being so set in stone with one defensive scheme that we continually let players who thrive in the mid-range and floater range go off because we refuse to change a scheme. (Remember Beno Udrih years ago? Same issue, no improvement.) Or because of a continued lack of preparation in regards to late-game situational defense (times like CJ being in for and of game/regulation defensive possessions). I could point out multiple instances.
Players are going to make mistakes in games. Coaches will too, but I expect the coach to at least improve over time, and I expect the coach to have some knowledge of proper adjustments.
You're making the mistake of thinking I only blame Stotts. I simply talk about him more than anything because I love looking at basketball from a coaching, schematic point of view, and his mistakes stand out to me more than anything else.
I just dont want people thinking that I think Stotts is the only reason we lost.I was gonna stay out.... Honestly.
Well I'm definitely included in that group.Just want to point out I didn't really direct this at you, there are a lot of posters including myself who give Stotts crap for everything...
I dont disagree with this at all.The end of a long road trip is taxing...not just physically but mentally....I used to tour for 6 weeks at a time regularly and by the end it's easy to forget a few lyrics..slow down a tempo or just not be sharp
NOPE! Stotts blew this game!
I stopped reading here...Let's start with the premise that nobody here is an idiot.
Honestly they need a better coach for the playoffs. Stotts and his system seems to work fine for the regular season. Thats the problem, until Stotts proves he can adjust in a playoff series his lasting impression will be he gets beat by the same schemes all the time. They might get 50 wins this year, which yes is partially on Stotts putting together a good system for the regular season. If they get swept again then that mostly proves yet again he’s behind what the opponents are doing.Let's start with the premise that nobody here is an idiot.
We all understand that it is not the NFL and that teams don't have the time to install unique offensive and defensive schemes for each opponent. Stotts, however, takes it to the opposite extreme. He is very slow to adjust rotations and almost never adjusts schemes. We could spend hours arguing the "why", but we all see it happening. To put it bluntly, the Stotts' defenders ( of whom I was once one) need to find a better argument than than asking fans to ignore the obvious.
