Would you be satisfied if the Blazers finished this road trip 3-2?

Whose the contender here?

Miami 30-36

Orlando 21-46

There is no excuse for this.

Contender? no, but able to take one game from a playoff team? yes.
This isn't the east of last year and people are forgetting that.

As I said before this trip when everyone laughed @ me.
This is a rough stretch of games that could go either way.
It doesn't get easier. Going .500 is an accomplishment.

Same as the previous 2 games. I turned it off with a minute or two to go. Disgusted at Stott's system. Well, now come the posts extolling our "elite" defense, relying upon some stat.

Sheeeeit. How many lazy turnovers can Batum escape responsibility for. I guess the statistician always credits the receiver. Joe "Batum" Cool is the most overconfident player I've ever seen.

so if miami and orland are apparently tough teams, yet the west is a much tougher conference especially the 7 other playoff teams, how is it they are a cakewalk? lol nice logic.

Way to put words in my mouth, did I say cakewalk?
I said very confident when answering your question.
Bottom line is the Blazers have been very successful vs Western playoff teams.
And in a series when it's SEVEN games, and you have time to practice... Lock in, focus on keys. Gee you'd think I wouldn't have to draw a picture to people on a basketball forum.

How about you bait less, and post more about basketball.

Arron Afflalo has been shit for us. I was excited to get him.

Just an embarrassing defensive effort. Lillard thoroughly outplayed by rookie Elfrid Payton...something that shouldn't happen.

The thing that stands out to me is only 11 assists for the whole game; half of our season average of 22.2

Bad ball movement.

Damn! Lillard needs to check the PG manual. Get the job description.

So this is what I get for cancelling my tv service? Got rid of it at the beginning of the month and now we've lost 4 of 5 I think. Losing Matthews is getting more costly game by game, lost our mental toughness.

yeah, just like you put words in my mouth earlier :). I mean very confident is a pretty strong thing to say. and no, orlando is not some tough team you suggest they. Before beating us tonight they were on a 6 game losing streak. Nothing about that screams tough, no matter how close games were for them. No picture needs to be drawn for me, I'm not as confident as you and these games kind of prove it. If nothing else we have been a bad to average road team this year. That isn't exactly going in our favor.

We got completely outworked by a lottery bound Eastern Conference team and this was after Portland suffered two difficult losses. I expected this team to come out with a sense of urgency and they showed up in a trance.

All in all a completely unacceptable and inexcusable loss by a team that's trying to fight for Home Court Advantage. This team pisses me off. So much talent. So fucking inconsistent, esp. against teams with losing records.

This thread looks like a cluchfan's thread atm.

What's worse is we're wasting monster nights from Aldridge. I'm starting to feel like if we choke down the stretch and stumble in the playoffs, he could look elsewhere. Not saying, it's a lock he would leave, but dude's in his prime and wants to play deep into the playoffs.

This fucking team is going to blow out Memphis tomorrow, no rhyme or reason to their madness.

i already suggested this and got jumped on lol. watch out.

Good to see nothing was learned or gained by this team. They have multiple personalities.

is persona 5 out yet? I need something to ease the pain.

I put words in your mouth? excuse me? do tell where I said anything like you did to bait me.
What because I said "people act like this was an easy stretch for the blazers?"
Hmm doesn't seem like i put any words in your mouth, but good try.
Especially from this post.

Orlando may have been on a 6 game losing streak but that doesn't tell the whole story for a young lotto bound team.
Go look at the final scores over that streak, where they competitive? Yes they were...
Loss to Dallas by 5...
Loss to Huston by 13. When they had a lead going to the 4th quarter.
Loss to Cavs by 15. <-- only game it wasn't under 10 going to the 4th.
Loss to Boston by 7 <-- Boston is really good at the moment and have beat the Blazers.(minus Aldridge or not)
Loss to Milwakie by 6....
Loss to Indiana by a lot. <-- only blowout.

So one blowout in that stretch of 6 game losses.
You said I wouldn't have to draw a picture but obviously I do.
Orlando is a good team, and with Dragic Miami is too. Especially when Wade turns back the clock.

These games prove nothing other than the Blazers are in a ROUGH stretch.
The Blazers have been an average road team. Good thing they have proven they can win on the road last year... And have a good record against All western playoff teams minus the Warriors and Memphis.

Picture Drawn.

For a team that was so money when leading after three quarters earlier, we seem to be shitting the bed a lot lately. Tonight? Outscored 36-22!

Also, MB mentioned Nico may be having the "yips" inbounding the ball ... really hope that doesn't end up being the case. But goodness, why is it so difficult for us to pass it in?
