Usual Portland road pattern. Fall behind but keep it close first half, pull ahead third quarter, blow them out fourth.
Now I have to force myself to cheer for GSW against OKC tomorrow. Ugh.
The Blazers lost a road game at the end of a 7 game trip and you are still not over it? Tough crowd. We lost to J. Noah at Memphis. Let that sink in for a minute. I'm still not over it
He blocked Randle twice that game. Last time Zach went up against Randle he got his lunch handed to him. Tonight he was the best player on him and that tells me Zach his getting stronger and it good sign.Outcome may have been different without very solid play from Hood, Kanter, and Zach, of course. ZC did get a nice block on Randle there in the end.

We are now .500 for the season on the road.

But dang it. We lost about half of our road games! We are now .500 for the season on the road.

And we've won half our road games!
I was just telling my buddy the same thing. I’m never too bothered when we’re trailing in the first half as long as we’re not getting blown out. When we lead in the first and second quarters I get worried.Usual Portland road pattern. Fall behind but keep it close first half, pull ahead third quarter, blow them out fourth.
Now I have to force myself to cheer for GSW against OKC tomorrow. Ugh.
So you're saying it's just meI myself wonder the same thing sometimes.
So, did anybody guard Randle? I know he's pretty decent, but THAT decent? I know he played nearly double the minutes Aminu played, but I also have to assume Aminu was largely responsible for him during his minutes.

The team defense was mostly to blame. So, did anybody guard Randle? I know he's pretty decent, but THAT decent? I know he played nearly double the minutes Aminu played, but I also have to assume Aminu was largely responsible for him during his minutes.
You know I dont remember if they ever tried it, but I kind of think ET may have done ok on him, Randle may just be too tall, but ET seems to do well against physical offensive players. The team defense was mostly to blame.
Or stunted hard off ball. Make him split traffic or pass out. If he did split traffic, itd probably slow his momentum so he couldnt just go downhill at his defenders.Should clarify my post above if they were t gonna double him, or try to get the ball out of his hands, then I think ET may have been interesting choice.

I thought Zach did decent job on him made him take some tuff shots and he made some. Zach blocked a couple also but Randle tuff handle because he so strong and when he gets to his left forget about it. Aminu not strong enough and Nurk not quick enough.Or stunted hard off ball. Make him split traffic or pass out. If he did split traffic, itd probably slow his momentum so he couldnt just go downhill at his defenders.
Some people are so intelligent with the game and stats its easier to point out areas for improvement. But balance should always be part of the equation, by also recognizing improvement and success.I am astonished by the Stotts hate. The Blazers just won two road games against teams fighting for playoff position. What is the problem? Yes, Randle scored a lot but Pelicans were without their leading scorers so he got their share of shots.
I said it before, Blazers win championship and people here will complain they didn't sweep. Blazers sweep and they will complain games too close. Blazers blow out Eastern champion and they will complain Stotts is wearing an ugly tie.
