On a scale of 1-10, how badly will the absence of Moe hurt the Blazers, coming down the stretch run?

LOL fucking perfect!

If he is hurt, then he should sit. Period. 2 threes for a guy who makes $18 millions? You seriously kidding me?
I believe ET had a pretty great game against OKC, yes? Two threes? Or was that last game? He has done fairly well but he's playing hurt now and it shows.

Damn even a no Harden Rockets team can beat this bunch of scrubs.

The possession before Pat came in. W4 passed up a wide open corner three late in the clock.
Only to give Turner the ball forcing him to take a contested elbow three.

Stotts then pulled w4.

Like it, don't like it. But that's what happened.

Yeah, Stotts has a short leash with Rookies.

But guess what you can do? You can pull him over to the side and say, hey, next time just shoot that. And then leave him in the game to give him confidence. Instead of taking him out for a simple mistake.

Fucking christ. Guys like Aminu, Turner and Pat have apparently earned the right to make mistakes over and over and not get pulled for it.

Pat Connaughton for fucks sake. Why does he deserve this leeway??

Baldwin was passing up open shots all night and it really breaks our offense when it generates an open look and you pass it off to an even worse shooter. Memphis clearly knew he didn't want to shoot and they were sagging off of him all game. He played well and ended with a good stat line, but his lack of willingness/ability to shoot was clogging up the offense. Can't dump it to Nurk in the post or have CJ drive with that extra defender in there.

Unacceptable. Just unacceptable. Calabro can say they have pride, but this team lost by 61 a week ago. To fucking Charlotte.
Two things: 1) Kemba Walker hit 10 threes in that game and 2) Once you lose by 61, you start playing harder to not embarrass yourself. They just beat Minnesota. As far as I know, most of you picked us to go 2-1 on this road trip. So there you go. Hopefully, Dame is back on Friday.

Also, Terry never trusts the hot hand. Always plays his "safe veterans" in his static rotations.

Yup. The only hot hands he rides are Dame and CJ. Idiotic. Baldwin should’ve finished that game. Not only does he not, he puts in that dumpster Pat.

Stotts does some things very well, but other things (Looking at you substitutions and timeout management) he is abysmal at.

Kinda hard to fault him for this loss, though. At SF he has...ET? I guess he can run Pat there, but Pat is just an awful offensive player. Putting Aminu there wouldn't have helped this game at all, either. Maybe take a chance and run Baldwin there, but Napier was pretty horrific, too. The talent the Blazers put out today (other than CJ and Nurk) wasn't any better than what Memphis ran out.

Well that sucked.
On the bright side wade came out and had a real good showing. Nice to see.
Wade was amazing, but other than CJ(except the 4th qtr.), Nurk, and Zac, poor team play.

Dame may have just texted Paul, "I need more help."

That's right. Whenever Dame and CJ are hot in the fourth quarter, he always pulls them out of the game.

I know that voices of caution are generally not preferred on nights like tonight, but....

Shabazz has had about 20 games this year like WB4 had tonight. And he's had some stinkers.
Pat has a couple years' worth of knowledge of the defense.
We missed 11 FTs tonight. They shot 57% from 3.

This is a "chalk one up and move on," 3rd-in-4 Special. It's why we play the games.

Now, if you want to say that this is further proof that Chief, ET and Pat shouldn't get quality minutes, you have some ammo tonight.
If you want to say WB4 should be playing every minute Shabazz played, not sure that stands up.
If you want to wonder why our 3rd-Man-of-the-Big-3 went 5-6 while Chief, ET and Pat went 5-23, I'm wondering that also.

Get Well Soon, Moe. Get back soon, Dame. Rest up, everyone else. Brush yo' shoulders off, and hit the Clips hard FRI.

I'm not trying to hate on Wade Baldwin, because I am actually very intrigued by him, but some of you guys need to calm the hell down. Remember that Jake Layman guy?

Well, we were without two starters and they hit some big shots. It's bound to happen. There are no gimmes in this league. Let's bounce back, win the next three and lock up the third seed. Come back, Dame.

Definitely. Come playoff time, no one will care about this loss except for the haters.

Who knows what B4 does next game....but he should have played more tonight.

This is OK. Team looked both mentally and physically exhausted. Defensive rotations weren't there. Making stupid reads on offense. When has this team ever missed 11 FTs? just not our night

I wanted us to rest CJ/Nurk tonight and roll with all young dudes. 3rd game in four nights after a tough matchup last night and missing two key starters is just a recipe for disaster.

I'm not defending it, nor am I saying it was the wrong move.
I can see both sides of the argument for leaving him in, and taking him out.

At the end of the day I can't fault Stotts for his decision because I can see the logic of both ways.

But lets be very clear. Offense is not why we lost the game.
Memphis was 7-10 from three in the first half. Finishing the game 13-23 from three.
Portland did not play good enough defense to win.
There was really only one player running his man off the line and that was Zach Collins.
Everyone else just watched, as Memphis hit three after three after three.
