He can't. He's not good enough to be a #1 option. He can't run a team and can't control the offense against pressure. That's why he's struggling. He isn't Dame, and can't handle anywhere close to Dame's responsibility. Not only that, but he can't even defend at Dame's level.

Reality check in the form of losses will do that to you. This team needs major work, and a winning streak against a bunch of mediocre teams and teams with major injuries was a smoke screen to reality.
