Whats Kaman doing in town?

Holdahl said he had some business interests in Portland

Kaman doesn't strike me as the type that would be interested in coaching, although I'm sure there'd be a spot for him here.

I really wanted Damian to get to 60. I'm kind of surprised that no Blazer had ever gone beyond 54. That's definitely a record I don't want Damon Stoudamire to have.

It was good to see these guys beat a good team soundly without Nurkic, but I don't know if it was a good team effort as much as it was Lillard's Herculean game.

The defense was really good and a total team effort. Seven guys played amazing defense and one guy played amazing offense.

What's the verdict on black jerseys/white socks at home? I could get used to it.

The Dame colorway looked like tap dance shoes... interesting combo. Gotta say the black at home is good luck for us now!

Dame just won that game with pure willpower....amazing effort...Jazz never recovered...looked like more of an allstar than Hayward to me! Proud to be a Blazer fan today! One more win! The client I care for switched his Mariners game to the Blazers for me...made my shift great!

I have to say, watching this game on delay, and through the third quarter, I was amazed at how bad the refs were. If this game had been called the other way, we would be screaming about it. There were several points where the Jazz were getting clobbered, and the refs just swallowed their whistles.

Tonight was a gift. I have no problem taking it, but we ref-blamers should be willing to acknowledge it.
I didn't see it but kudos for being honest about how you saw it. Most fans are like a teenage criminal's mom. "He's such a good boy and wouldn't ever hurt anybody" even when there are witnesses and video.

Truth is good.

Nothing against Stoudamire, but it sure is nice to see Lillard on the top of this list.

Lillard now has 4 of the top 10 best scoring games in Blazers team history.

Best Blazer ever? Not yet, but his legacy continues to grow....

Dame was amazing but I've got to give shoutouts to Vonleh, Aminu and Turner for their amazing defense all game...to hold the Jazz to 86 pts and get as many stops as they did...even frustrated Gobert....great team defense that won't get much love in light of Dame's career night but still deserves some praise

Anyone have one of those cool video stories for last night? Pinwheel empire?

Yes the Blazers played hard on D all night. Especially the ones you mentioned.

Not that impressed with Gobert last night. No doubt he is a solid player, but other than the dunks set up by his teammates or after a rebound.....not much of an offensive game. Especially when you consider he was guarded by Meyers and Vonleh for much of the game. Nurk is better.

I also thought Harkless played a solid game as well.

Just finished the replay. Vonleh worked the boards again and also had moments defensively. I love when he switches. Only one that gave Joe Johnson any real trouble.

Leonard was ok by his standards but still pretty shit. It's obvious he's limited by something physically, so I actually believe the story about his back and hip. I'll give him credit for playing through it, but he shouldn't be out there tbh. We should've signed another big. Whatever. No luxury tax!

McCollums shot is consistently short, a good indicator that he doesn't have his legs. I really hope this doesn't come down to that last game so he can rest. But Blazers, so it probably will.

We got away with a lot of stuff, but so did the Jazz. It was officiated the same on both ends.

I hate Ingles, but part of that is probably jealousy, that a guy that unathletic can be that good.

My money is on permenant. I think that's always been the plan but Chris was given time away following the death of his father. Olshey made that statement last offseason "Chris has something to think about as he drives across the country", I think that something is whether he wants a position on the coaching staff, and I think the fact that we have not filled Hughes' vacancy yet gives credence to the hypothesis that the Blazers view Kaman as that guy.

Nice work Inspector. I really think and hope you are right.

I think you CAN say best Blazer ever, if not now, by the end of next season for sure. He has done more things than any other Blazer in history except win. That is the only thing anyone else has on him at this point.
He has had the best rookie season of any Blazer, He has scored the most points in the first 5 years as a Blazer. He has the highest single game score and in the next game he will break the single season score total as well.
Geoff is the only guy stats wise that comes close to his accomplishments thus far and he is rarely mentioned when the best is discussed. Its usually Drexler or Walton, right?
Drexler went to the finals twice.

currently
1. Drexler
2. Dame
3. Walton
4. Peitrie

End of next year:
1.Dame
2.Drexler

It was the best team defense I'd seen them play all year.

Man, I swear there was a picture of dame's face over Biggie Smalls...... can't find it.

You do see the contradiction there, right?

Feel free to point it out to me?

You're saying Lillard is arguably the best Blazer ever, because of his stats...ignoring playoff success. Then you say that Petrie is the only one close to Lillard's early career trajectory stats, and that Petrie is rarely mentioned in the "best Blazer" discussions. So, if big stats and lack of playoff success keep Petrie out of the "best" discussion, why would Lillard be topping it already?

And no, one huge shot against Houston isn't what I consider playoff success, given the shellacking in the next round.
