At least Batum doesn't put up 25 shots a game though. If he did that, some people here would still find reasons to defend him. I think he's basically the same player now he's always been, he's just not making his shots.

And LA, some people here think he is creating open shots for his team mates, but that is the biggest bunch of bull. Teams want to prevent the Blazers from getting open looks at a 3, and of course, from getting into the paint. They WANT LaMarcus to put up his mid range fade away jump shots. Any coach would be stupid to not welcome LA doing that. He makes about 35% of those shots, which is about as bad as you can home for.

You know another interesting stat, over the last two years LAs FG attempts have gone UP but his FGs made have stayed the SAME, he's chucking up more shots and shooting a lower percentage. And why is he doing this when we's on a better team?

Franchise players always get their stats tweaked by one thing folks don't talk about. Shot clock shots. They always end up in the star's hands and they are usually low percentage shots. You look at the collective achievement of this team and the success is evident. If you dissect it you only get a limited bit of the puzzle.
