And yes, I guess you could say that critiquing a 17-4 team qualifies as "nitpicking". Personally, I prefer to think of it as objective analysis from fans who want to see every conceivable roadblock to a championship addressed.

I agree. Every team and every player can improve. Perennial championship contenders like the Spurs work on it every season.

Dude, if LA didn't come back early from his injury and we started winning again, we had a legit shot of actually missing the playoffs last year.

The margin of error in the west is ridiculously tiny. Nitpicking or whatever you call it is warranted.

Actually I could nitpick the shit out of the coach but in all good conscience I won't, since I am so pleased with the coaching in comparison to where we have been, I'll just grin for years yet.

Sinobas and MM get shot down a lot when they do that. Some might say that Nic hurts us on his 9 shots a game, but his TS% is higher than LMA's (on his 19.1 shots). Some say that Dame shoots too much when he's cold (I, for one, have pointed out that he has 2 of the 50 worst-shooting games in history). But he's light-years ahead in TS% (59.9% to 46.7%).

Our improved defense (a decent part of which goes to LMA) and our improved bench are helping us win games, where last year we had to rely on our offense (and specifically, our starting offense). But we've regressed on offense (10th in ppg, 6th in OEff)

I don't think anyone besides Batum.. But I think it was because of his injury.

That is area that the coaching has not been up to my liking.

From 10-23' Dame is 27-60. That's 45% and an average of just under 3 of his 14.3 shots per game.
From 10-23' LMA is 94-234. That's 40.3% and an average of 11.7 (61%) of his 19.3 shots per game.

I was actually just talking about the 15-19' range (the range where the lion's share of LMA's offense comes from), but it appears if you want to apply it to ALL 2-point jumpers the results are essentially the same.
