I don't think some of you understand how it works. When they slash, we have to collapse to stop the drive. Normally against Houston this would be fine, but they're shooting over 80% from deep so when we collapse to stop the drive, they are burning us from deep. Most teams are lucky to shoot 40% from deep. It's their ridiculous outside shooting that's hurting us right now.

We beat Houston on TNT earlier this season and they still talked about how bad we are.

After they had a 2 game stretch of better defense, their normal bad defense returns.

We don't have a good defensive team, so usually we try to take one thing away, like three point shooting. Against the Thunder, a team that usually drives and scores in the paint for most of their points, we decided to try to take that away, but they started hitting every single three pointer. That completely destroyed our defensive scheme. Now our guys look completely confused about what to do on defense because they didn't anticipate Houston shooting 82% from three.
