3 of 9 is pretty ridiculous though.

Dwight Howard, I hear, is amazing at FT's after practice. Pressure does weird things to people.

Anyways, great win. TRob had an amazing stretch on both ends. Bench saved this one. No way we win this last year the way our starters performed for the 1st 3.5 quarters. Nice to see a crowd stand and cheer as well.

I don't feel any remorse over that non call. A missed goaltending call against OKC two years ago put us into a spiral and knocked us from near the top of the conference to the bottom. It also propelled OKC to move into the upper echelon of the NBA.

Hoping the same for us

Wasn't that a goaltend that SHOULDN"T have been called? Scott Foster called it.

Didn't we start out 7-2 that season? Then shit hit the fan.

TRob should have been in there sooner tbh. He had 6 points and 2 offensive rebounds in 6 minutes in the first half. Doesn't show up again until late in the 3rd even though Aldridge wasn't doing anything.

LMA actually played well in the 3rd. He started to heat up, then they went away from him.

So what does this picture mean?

Looks like a goaltend, no?

Well ... yeah, kind of looks like a goaltend to me, but in real-time my internet feed was too fuzzy to make anything out. In any case, Phoenix deserved to lose after the way they let the Red Sea part so Lillard could put in that uncontested layup 5 seconds earlier. Thems the breaks.

Well technically the ball isn't on the rim when Batum has his hand in there. He could have poked it out....or it could have been out and then his hand went through the basket.

Yeah, that's what I thought, too. The 2-D of the photo makes it look like he's poking the ball, but the ball bounced up after hitting the front of the rim while watching it on TV. I don't think this angle does much to settle the supposed controversy.

NBA is going to issue an apology for this one.

Doubt it. Yes, Batum's fingers are inside the rim, but the ball was on it's way down, and clearly outside the cylinder. They showed the replay five times on TV and even if Batum is nowhere near the bucket it was clear the ball wasn't going in. If the refs had called that it would have been total bullshit.

Fuck the Suns, Go Blazers!!

Replay shown 3x on the post-game show. Clearly, it wasn't goaltending on Nic. The photo was one of those 2-D things that look like something that didn't happen.

Dude even Tom chambers, a Phoenix homer and announcer said "the ball was clearly coming out before his fingers were in the net"

Yeah, and that settles it. This is one of those wins that we can hopefully look back on as fans and say that this is where things started going right for this team, for once.

Lillard/Batum/LA combine for 11-42 shooting. We miss 9 FTs, so many layups and silly turn overs. The bench really saved the day, I think we need to see more of them. The bench combined for 14-22, so they made more FGs in half the attempts.

If we had shot a decent % from the line and made our layups it wouldn't have been such a close game. Thankfully the Suns returned the favor at the end.
