Nate left him in the game because he was the only guy who could make a shot. Funny... when Webster gets hot, everyone wants to keep going to him. When Outlaw gets hot, everyone wants to yank him.

Outlaw was making mistakes left and right. We wanted him out because he couldn't box out and made boneheaded plays. And the fact that he was keeping our center from playing the damn game.

You must not have seen the game. Oden completely changed how the Hawks were able to attack the hoop and go inside. When he (and Joel) weren't in the game, the Hawks had a field day at the rim.

Learn the game, then, still don't post.

I saw the game, I know the game, and it wasn't them attacking the hoop. It was long jumpers by Joe Johnson and Jamal Crawford and fast break points caused by bad decisions on our end.

Not really. All they had to do, was attack the hole and draw an easy foul on Oden. They shot free throws and Oden went to the bench. He was hardly a factor on the defensive end.

Come on Maris. What part of his line are you complaining about? He had a perfect Sergio line tonight. What part are you unhappy about? The 11 assists or the zero turnovers?

PS.... is that a racist comment or what?

No, it isn't. At least not to me.

The no-defense part. The part where the blazers were outscored by 13 points while Andre was on the floor, but only lost the game by 6. Meaning they win by 7 if he had only missed the game.

Do the math. Then consider his salary. Then consider his attitude and failure to buy into a team concept. Then consider his inability to hit a three. Then consider he hates children and small animals...:devilwink:

Travis: 22 pts, 3 rebs, 2 blks, 1 steal in 22 minutes. That's at least 44 pts, 6 rebs, 4 blks, & 2 steals if Nate played him the whole game! Let the man play, Nate!

Losing games like these at home, really stings. Instead of responding to some of the crazies who beat the same drum every night, I'll give some general thoughts so they can be ripped apart:

3-Guard Rotation: This is one of the few times I can't say I understand Nate's logic. We were getting killed on the glass when we were using these rotations. Also, since Blake and Miller aren't super quick, we were unable to take advantage of it on the offensive end.

Oden: Love what he brings when he's on the court and playing off the ball. He scored 8 points, but only 2 of them were in the context of the offense. He is so good cleaning up the glass and he's improving on finishing. When he posted up tonight, he only scored one, had a couple balls slapped away, and made safe release passes that didn't lead to scoring. He still hasn't been an effective post player this season. He needs to stay out of foul trouble because 15mpg is not going to cut it.

Miller: He did everything you could want of him tonight, except finish. The layup in the last minute was a dagger. I've never seen an 11 assist, 0 turnover night look so effortless.

Blake: I really like Blake, but I'm having a hard time seeing him play 27 minutes when guys like Rudy are only playing 17. It goes back to the 3 guard lineup that I'm not fan of, and takes minutes away from other people.

Roy: I don't need to pump him up because anyone with their head on straight knows he's the heart and soul of this team. He was forcing a lot of shots tonight and really seemed to prevent us from running in a few situations. I guess when your best player doesn't want to run, you never will, and for the most part I'm ok with it, but tonight we could've used those easy buckets.

Hope we figure it out soon, I think we will.

You clearly don't "know the game". The Hawks had 50 pts-in-the paint compared to our 34. Clearly it wasn't the "long jumpers" making the difference.

Pachulia Dunk Shot: Made (12 PTS) Assist: Crawford (4 AST) 10:55
Smith Layup Shot: Made (2 PTS) 10:08
Horford Dunk Shot: Made (7 PTS) Assist: Crawford (5 AST) 09:02
Smith Driving Reverse Layup Shot: Made (12 PTS) 07:10
Crawford Driving Layup Shot: Made (23 PTS) Assist: Johnson (3 AST) 06:50
Horford Layup Shot: Made (9 PTS) Assist: Crawford (6 AST) 06:01

Aldridge Substitution replaced by Oden 06:00

Oh yea... checkmate.

People complain that LMA was playing C instead of Oden or Joel down the stretch because we couldn't rebound, but the stats say otherwise. LMA lead the game in rebounding with 14.

50 of their 97 points came inside the paint. They outscored us by 16 there.

If you don't think Oden or Przybilla would have helped there, you don't know basketball very well.

While Nate is busy jerking his players off the Hawks pretty much only went with 6 players tonight.

most of those were in transition; watch the game, not the play by play

Hawks rebounds = 46
Blazers rebounds = 36

We were killed on the boards. LaMarcus had a huge game there, but he was about it. Atlanta, on the other hand, got good rebounding games from Horford, Johnson, Smith and Williams. Hell, even Mike Bibby had more rebounds (4) than all but three of our players.

Oden's defense = sending them to the free throw line

Oh, you don't think that having a center in there ALONG with LMA would have helped us close the 36-46 rebounding differential?

The fact remains they got 50 points in the paint. Unless you try to say they were running all night, it's more than likely they were just abusing us down low.

Facts wont help at all, Ive learned awhile ago that there are just some people on this world that just dont know how stupid they are and wont listen to anything factual.

Moving LMA to C allows us to have Outlaw in there at PF. Outlaw and LMA were the hot shooters tonight so he wanted them both in there, wanted Atlanta to have to contend with both of them.

They abused Oden. All he could do was foul them.

Moving Aldridge to PF allows us to move Outlaw to SF. It's not like Outlaw would have had a harder time with Marvin Williams than Josh Smith. And his defense is equally bad on both positions, so it's a wash there.

I don't know how they could abuse Oden when he only played 15 minutes. (You're making this too easy) More like they abused Portland's stupid small lineup.

At the end of the game it was Bibby, Crawford, and Johnson. I don't want Outlaw guarding any of them.. I want him out of the game.

At this point, it doesn't really matter who he guards. He's bad on anyone.

Blake can't guard his man.
Roy hardly ever does.
Martell is so so.
Aldridge is alright.
Oden...
Przy is usually good
Outlaw sucks.
Rudy tries but...
Miller really can't.

This is just not a good defending team, and I don't think the defense is all Nate's fault. None of his players can stop penetration other than Batum.

which is better, 9 rebounds in 16 minutes or 14 rebounds in 40 minutes?

Greg inability to stay out of foul trouble is more than half the reason our centers only played 10 minutes in the 2nd half. It's time for him to learn how to play smart on defense. You can blame Nate, Mo Lucus, Bayno, and any other coach, but Greg needs to figure it out himself. Staying out of foul trouble is not rocket science.
