If the NBA finds against the Blazers and takes their pick...

They are doing that and this is all fake news? Gutsy

Do you think Blazers fans/organization should be cool with a report that that they forced Payton to play hurt, gave him shots, and that he can't play for 3 more months, when it appears none of that is true?

My question is: Why are Warriors fans so hurt that the Blazers and their fans pushed back against the false reporting when it didn't pass the sniff test from the very start?

I don’t think people know enough/exactly what happened. That’s what I think. Warriors fans and Blazers fans are the same. Coming to the defense of their team. Makes sense.

Nice try. Warriors tried to fuck us. I'd trash the blazers if it was their fault but it wasn't.

Let me ask you this:
  1. Do you think the Blazers forced Payton to play?
  2. Do you think the Blazers forced Payton to shoot pain killers?
  3. Do you think Payton will be out 3 more months before he plays again?
You had to realize the story didn't add up. Even if the Blazers didn't handle it perfectly, sensationalizing things is dangerous.

Anyone with common sense knows the warriors tried to fuck us. There's no more counterarguments. They tried to move the goalposts every few hours.

So fuck GSW.

Knowing the NBA, they will take the Blazers pick to try and force Dame out this summer. Probably the Warriors plan.

I mean, they levied some pretty nasty accusations at the blazers.

Yup, and for simply failing to tell them that Payton was taking a very common NSAID that is used by many athletes in multiple sports in management of pain associated with typical sports pain? Their medical staff had cleared him to play. The training staff was just giving him access to a non-narcotic pain management drug.

Big shoutout to Josh Hart and Payton's agent for slamming the door on this gossip smear by GS. Lot of attention to what Hart said after his post game in NY which is the biggest media market on the planet......I think Payton's agent is Chauncey's and Dames as well, not sure how they thought this would benefit them in anyway.HEY GS!!! Thanks for Festus Ezeli and Gary Payton II....doubt we'll be looking to help them with any trads in the future.

Really good read. Without Highkin directly saying it, the athletic article’s timing was intentional and designed to screw with the Blazers. No prior notification? No asking for comment? Sports journalism is still journalism … or should be. The normalcy of unquoted sources regarding trade rumors, the draft … understood. On something like this? Pathetic.

I would hope this is green font, because the players association wouldn't look too kindly on the NBA "forcing" a player to leave a team that he doesn't want to leave.

I think the accusations are a lack of transparency and the use of the Taradol shot/pill, and how healthy he is. Warriors claim PDX overstated how healthy he is and had many chances to give an accurate idea of his health, but didn’t. That’s it. Not sure why that’s still a debate

Curious on your thoughts...

Every fan new of Payton’s slow return to play even after he was cleared by team doctors. Everyone knew he missed multiple games even after he returned to playing. Somehow it’s a shock to the Warriors that he’s not 100% and that he’s taking a common NSAID? Different doctors can have varying opinions on a player’s injury. Not sure where there’s evidence the Blazers tried to hide anything.

Furthermore, I would argue Golden State knows GPII far better than we ever got to know him. How he moves, when he's hurting and when he's healthy. They literally watched him play the day before the trade IN PERSON, players and staff talked with him after the game when they were hugging. It's not like the trade materialized out of thin air the next day. They had clearly been talking about it for a while. They had every opportunity to perform their due diligence. Yet we're smeared like we're trying to put one over on Golden State, WHERE HE WAS INJURED IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Ridiculous.

There is no shot.

This is a really bad take from someone that usually doesn’t have them?
Wondering were you are going with this?
