Again, those were quotes from Chris Haynes. What I took from it was that after the trade deadline, GS still wanted to complete the deal, but not with the previously-agreed terms. They asked Silver to intervene and investigate their allegations. Again, that was just my read on it.

Sources close to the Warriors have stated that they never seriously considered rescinding the trade, and their first attempt was to try to claw back some of the trade compensation, so let's not pretend they're just fighting for Truth and Justice. They wanted GPII more than we wanted to let him go, so we (for once) got the better end of a trade deal. Compared to the Clippers and Pels who fleeced us, this trade marked one of the first times we clearly got the better end of a deal. GMs have egos, and it probably stings a little. The injury story was a convenient one, but it got out of hand. Now their only way out is to double down.

Myers getting dragged pretty hard. Basically, comments are going everywhere from saying GS is making this up to being petty to Myers and his staff were borderline incompetent for not doing their own due diligence and now are trying to blame it in the Blazers.

Brutal.

Many, maybe mostly, but not all, and one might expect at the very least since he's the Warriors' beat writer that there'd be at least some defense for Myers and GS, but they took a major pounding.

Dude's drowning in this role. I read he's on a lame duck deal as GM. Not sure if that's true, but I could understand why if it is.

It would really behoove you to bow out of this thread. Your reputation is pretty solid overall, but it's clearly sinking in the eyes of many, possibly irrecoverably. If you had a solid platform to fight from, that would be one thing, but there's no logic to the approach you're taking.
