I think this is the longest we have ever been held in limbo on a deal that "was done"

steve nash just tweeted "Just got off the phone with Steve Kerr...I think were are getting Gerald Wallace...It would be good to get someone to take the pressure off."

I follow Nash on Twitter and did not see this!

Jaynes on Primetime right now. Said he keeps hearing it's "really close." Saying two picks and Pryz now. Both our and NO's 1st next year. No where near saying "done deal."

EDIT: He also confirmed his source was someone from another team. Sounds kinda fucked to me.

EDIT: No mention of "other players" though. This makes me suspicious.

Yeah make me suspicious too. Remind me again how much draft picks are worth for matching salaries? I think zero.
Joel, two #1's and 2 players is a lot. One #1 is all I would offer with 2 other young players.

Steve Kerr doesn't work for the Suns anymore.

Steve Kerr? He isn't really the GM for the Suns anymore so I kind of doubt that.

That twitter doesn't look like his real one. Every time he posts something its about obtaining guys from other teams...

Plus, "Steve Nash" apparently still thinks that Steve Kerr is running the Suns.

I've always been a guy who gets excited about the draft and finding steals late in the first round (I was high on Rudy, Batum, and disappointed we didn't obtain Ibaka and DeJuan Blair [many of us were for him] in prior drafts). With that said though, both ours and NO's picks are going to be outside the lottery, and obtaining Wallace gives us a very realistic chance of having home-court advantage in the first-round of the playoffs. It's not unforeseeable that we could pull off an upset against a higher seed, especially if there's an injury that occurs (think Duncan or Ginobili). In any case, I would really hate to lose Matthews or Batum since I value their games so much and they have excellent contracts. However, Pryzbilla, Fernandez, Babbitt...there are definitely some pieces that I'd be willing to give up along with picks to get Wallace.

Let's not forget, even though Charlotte has new ownership, Jordan isn't the richest guy in the league and the way that franchise has been run from the beginning puts an emphasis on cost control. I'm hoping this happens as it makes our team deeper and significantly more versatile.

Looks like without agents, quick is in the dark

jwquick Agents of potential players involved in Portland-Charlotte deal (Prz, Camby, Miller) are being left completely out of loop by both sides.

Jason Quick on 95.5-FM: "There's been a lot of uneasy clients here.... Marcus Camby wants to know what's going on."

Wow quick admits he's on his heels.

He has no clue but I think the deal is dead.

I'm just speculating here. This had so much hype now not a peep. Not to mention Wallace is at a bobcats fundraiser for season ticket holders. I just think this Harris part 2 and Houston jumps in with a steal or somebody else.

Like most reporters that cover the league. What, did you think sources were usually VPs and GMs?

Exept for Canzano of course. He has GM's texting him while he is on the air. The dude is unbelievable.

Maybe they've cooled off so the players can focus on the game at hand and then....boom, trade goes down.
