Golden State Warriors pick watch

I honestly wouldn't mind it falling into the Top-4. They would have to get 'lucky', but I think they could be even worse next year and the Blazers would own a Top-1 protected pick in a much better Draft.

I don't mess with chance. Take the sure thing. You don't know what kind of hijinks can be used to make them better.

If Portland can sneak into the top 3, we'll take one of Sarr, Cody Williams or Risachere. I'd be extremely happy with any of the three.

Philly getting hammered by the Warriors. This is 3 recent games where the Sixers are messing up the Blazers picks. They hate us.

We need the Warriors to lose at least half their games. This isn't good.

The Warriors might be a play in team but we'll still get a second pick in the 15-20 range.

Warrior's new starting lineup of Curry, Podz, Kuminga, Wiggins, and Green is pissing me off. Looking too good.

This is what I was saying when they lost Green and everyone counted them out. I said it could beat blessing in disguise giving the young guys an opportunity. Kuminga is absolutely breaking out.

if Kuminga is breaking out, @illmatic99 deserves credit. I believe he’s long been on record saying we should have taken him for gp2weeks instead of all the 2nds.

I’m not saying they would, but attach a pick? I just know illmatic has wanted him for a while saying they were miss using him. He called it.

As a general rule, you should always look at failed lottery picks. We almost had Markannen but two picks were too rich for Olshey's blood.

about two weeks ago, haberjinx decided to open his big mouth about the value of the GS pick.

they have gone 6-1 since.

can we send this guy in a cannon to the moon?

How far can they really move up? They're 11th now. If they beat out Utah and Lakers they move to 13. Right?

Well right now they're in the play-in so if they get into the playoffs and one of the teams with an even worse record than theirs gets into the playoffs let's say in the east then the pick could be as low as 16... if they keep winning they might have a better record than three or four teams in the playoffs and then we're at 18 or 19.

No way was that either/or on the table... anyone (including Cronin) would have taken JK instead of a bunch of 2nds

then we give more to get him. That wasn't my point. My point was @illmatic called it that he was worthy of trying to get. I am simply giving him credit because he had been saying for a while gsw was misusing him and he itbetter than gsw was using him as at the time.

The value of that pick has taken a huge hit this month unfortunately

I don't think the Warriors were misusing him, I think he is/was a talented young player figuring out how to play in the league. It's pretty common for young talent to struggle at first as they find their way and then have things click. Kuminga had all sorts of bad habits he had to change (or drop) that were detracting from the good things he can do. His physical talents were always obvious, the W's sure have needed another frontcourt athlete & he's still on a favorable rookie deal through next season. Bay Area sportstalk had him involved as the centerpiece for getting back Siakam or Dejounte but those are just hypotheticals that we don't know if they were really pursuing. I doubt they were ever actively looking to move him but I'd guess the price to Portland would have been Shaedon or unprotected lotto picks in a better draft then 2024

do you really think he's anything other then completely oblivious about the Blazers plight?

Curry is playing us like a fiddle. He rolled into P-Town with Klay and Kuminga, and scraped the paint off the Blazers logo. "Thanks Steph, we need these losses". Now he's tearing up the rest of the league and reducing our 2nd pick into mush. Steph is diabolical towards the Blazers, we love him & hate him.
