I can't believe I'm the only one who thought we should trade for Grant.
Ah 'em.You're a dog. You hump legs and eat crap.
It's Arvidas Sabonis's number too. That's MyLe's number. You don't want it anyway, Josh.
First Portland native to play here since Udoka?
Yup, I’m honestly more inclined to take Hayward’s contract for #13 than to trade for OG. Nas has shown enough flashes that I would be on board with starting him at SF next to Grant. You just hope Nas turns into OG eventually.
While Nas is still playing out the year for an extension, Hayward can remain on the team as a high scoring sixth man. The following year, he is an expiring contract that would be intriguing to a team needing cap space for 2024.
If he can put together a decent year, year after could be his impact year for the playoffs?good question. I’d say if Nas were to stay healthy, yes. Pretty big if though. But yeah I still believe in him.
Hence my comment about a hasty fire cronin thread that seemed to ruffle feathers.![]()

Yeah, but we have to remember, he's a free agent and he can't be traded.

I’m completely in agreement with you on that. If Nas for sure is healthy, then we’ve essentially filled out our starting forward spots.good question. I’d say if Nas were to stay healthy, yes. Pretty big if though. But yeah I still believe in him.
Wasn't saying he could be. A sign and trade after the moratorium sure, but it's not happening.
Grant is better as a SF anyway.I really like Sochan as our pick, especially if they can move a few spots and pick up another asset. Then, if Grant and whoever don't work out, we would still have Nas and Sochan as a very good pairing for the future.
You must have missed the posts that kept repeating that the other day.
If this deal falls through, how many here will be upset and how many will just laugh?

Which is why I wouldn’t give up #7 for OG. At least by taking on Hayward, we get an asset in return. He's just as injury prone if not more than OG
Which is why I wouldn’t give up #7 for OG. I would rather start Nas and have Hayward backing up at the 3 for one (or both) seasons, then drafting two guys with #7 and #13. Of course OG is better than guys like Sharpe and Mathurin right now, but I would rather have those guys at a rookie deal. Nas and Hayward and a rookie will be just fine for the time being.

The grant trade or the OG deal?
Mighty Mouse Damon Stoudamire was as wellEubanks
The grant trade or the OG deal?
They are trying to clear cap space to re-sign Miles Bridges this summer and then LaMelo next summer from what I’ve read, and are offering #13 or #15 for a team to take Hayward.Hayward gets paid too much to be a backup.
How would we trade for Hayward and still have the 7th pick?
Neither Mathurian or Sharpe will drop to 13.
Taking on Hayward’s $60m from the Hornets.Where 13 coming from?
