Greg Oden back to rehabbing

So, I was at Aura last night. Snapped this picture (i know it's horrible).

Oden, just chilling at the club, drinking.

Had his bodyguard with him, not even paying attention to the people that just wanted high fives. Dude wasn't even in vip, just sitting right next to the bar with his crew.

I know everybody deserves to go out and have fun, but didn't he say that he was no longer drinking and going out to party? Isn't that all that he did on his last rehab? I just don't know about him any more. Plus, he was quite rude to the couple fans I saw walk up to him that stuck a hand out for a high five, Oden just stuck op the peace sign and ignored them.

At least he was sitting.

There is a difference between 'partying' and going out occaisionally for a drink. Based on the sample, we don't know which category this falls into. As a result, I'll choose to assume the latter, since I want to believe that Greg can become who we all want him to become.

I'm confused, you're complaining because he didn't give you a high five and he wasn't sitting in VIP, just next to the bar?!?

DAMN HIM! What the fuck?!? We get so few VIPs in Portland what's the god damn point in having these VIP sections if VIPs aren't going to use them?

I agree, if a VIP isn't going to use the VIP section he should have to high five everyone in the bar at least twice!

I think it's kind of dbag move to take a picture of him at a club. I wouldn't want random people taking pictures of me constantly. About three years ago Oden was on my airplane and I considered taking a picture of him with my blackberry as he is at O'Hare with a couple of his crew, but I decided not to. Dude's just trying to chill.

ALSO, I have friends that are pretty good friends of Oden's. And they PARTY. Ive got pics that arent mine or else I would post more. I have been to other parties at PSU that he has been at also. This is just a random sample size for me. I guess a lot of you are just Oden apologists that either haven't payed attention to his partying issues, or you intentionally don't want to pay attention.

This thread reinforces my thought of Oden not really caring about being a professional, in the truest sense of the word. I just can't see how to spin this as a positive. That's a big "if".

There's the perception of being a big drinker, and then there are the effects of being a big drinker. I doubt he's all that concerned about the former.
