HCP trolling, not suprising
Shouldn't HCP be watching the USA game anyway.
The examples I used (Gomes vs. Blake) were on old CBA contracts.
Your faith in Kahn and his staff is commendable. Maybe I'm really far out to lunch. I don't get all the info they get. But from everything that's gone on today, I told you at 11am that this was BS and there was a reason Haynes was the only one reporting it as "signed offer sheet." And all day we've gone around the reasons why it's BS. And now it turns out that no offer sheet will be submitted today.
Tell me what's more likely: that Kahn's found some super-secret, not-in-the-CBA way to contravene the 7-day waiver process, and that he's just waiting for the right time to drop the offer sheet to the league so that Olshey will be forced to match without Kahn giving up Webster and MIller...OR that his bluff is so transparent that someone with a basic knowledge of the CBA could call him on it?
There were a couple of new twists that may have made it a more difficult offer sheet for the Trail Blazers to swallow. For one thing, the T-Wolves have apparently sweetened their offer to include a player or players not previously a part of the talks.
But more important, another new development is that the contract offer sheet Batum has signed apparently contains a 15 percent trade kicker. In other words, if the team that ends up with him wishes to trade him, it is going to have to pay him a costly 15 percent penalty to do so.
That would seem to make the offer sheet more difficult for the Trail Blazers, on a quest for roster flexibility, to accept. And make no mistake, the Blazers are facing a difficult decision.
HCP trolling, not suprising
I'm sure it's not some super-secret thing and I'm not saying that we couldn't figure it out. I'm just saying that it is more likely that we are missing something than the Wolves bluffing with their cards showing. It's also more likely that the reasoning behind the lack of an offer sheet is because they are still trying to work out a s&t.
Oooooooo, a trade kicker. That is sure to scare us.

I wouldn't believe anything until you see the dried ink. Jaynes could very well be David Kahn or Ndiaye's mouthpiece in this saga.

Canzano is solid.
Jaynes really needs to go back to his pre-CNSW days: Blogging about fishing.
Fuck it, as long as the T-wolves agree to take Jaynes and Canzano I'm all for trading Batum to them.
