14 points, 7-7 shooting, 3 boards in 16 minutes so far.

Seems pretty good!

What's our contract status on him? Is he an RFA for us?

8-8, 16 now... Circus shots are going in... Love this kid!

I think he'd be a really nice swing forward-center off the bench ... I'm not so sure about his defense, but the guy can score the hell out of the basketball

I'd like to see him start, too. Hopefully we can sign a big name free agent first and then lock up Batum and Hickson.

Does Joel have the worst hands in NBA history?

I think he'd be fit in nicely with the future of this team. Amazing we were able to pick him up for nothing.

I was excited and confused when we claimed him. If we are tanking the season why would we sign him? I liked him so that was the exciting part. I would love to get him wrapped up fo a while as a solid back up.

4 rebounds in 26 minutes? Somebody is trying to score points for a contract.

Not worth the cap hold, IMO.

I posted the day we got Hickson that he's Batum-quality, though he has a different skill set. He's paid what Batum is worth. To bad we can't pay Batum that little next season.

Keeping Hickson might hinder our chances of landing a big time Free agent, right?

I don't think so.... right now we could have close to enough for two max deals. It would hinder our ability at getting multiple big name free agents.

15-20 million right now I have heard

Hickson chews up 5-6 of that, Batum will chew up 8 of that, so best case scenario it looks like 7 million available

This is of course if Crawchuck doesn't opt in. Then it's lower

PER = 24.0, WS/48 = .191, TS% = .632, eFG% = .654, ORtg = 117, DRtg = 103.

It didn't take Hickson long to establish himself as our best player.

I felt he is playing for a contract too. But he is producing in a spot we need. Someone in the paint can score. And he is a blue collar player. The kind I like. I hope we keep him, but not for a lot of money. We seem to fit his style of play, pretty well.

He's always had terrible hands.... he's just not an offensive player. Plus, now most of his athleticism is gone too.

Joel looks like he's put on at least 20 pounds since prior to the patella injuries... thats not helping his cause. He was shut down for quite a while so it's understandable that his weight went up, but I expect he'll be in better shape by next fall. Dude is a hard worker

He is definitely that.

I'd point out the sample size, but I assume you're joking.
