The Spurs saved their franchise from being mediocre when they traded a big part of their team (at the time) in George Hill for an unknown kawhi Leonard basically. George Hill and Batum aren't that far off from each other in worth, Batum is a little better. That is how you get better.
Lillard and Aldridge were gotten how? We don't need to tear it down. You add to it.Tim Duncan was gotten how?
Portland is not San Antonio. Players don't take pay cuts to stay with the Blazers. Although, I will say this franchise is better run than it has been in the past. The Spurs saved their franchise from being mediocre when they traded a big part of their team (at the time) in George Hill for an unknown kawhi Leonard basically. Not when you're trying to re-sign one of your main guys. It depends on who you get back. If we don't re-sign wes does he leave too?Not when you're trying to re-sign one of your main guys. Batum is traded, no way LMA wants to stay
Probably. I agree it depends on who you get back. But draft picks aren;t going to get his dick hard about staying in Portland. It depends on who you get back. If we don't re-sign wes does he leave too?
Yeah. But we do have really good brew and weed!Probably. I agree it depends on who you get back. But draft picks aren;t going to get his dick hard about staying in Portland.
Let's say we go with what I proposed, We get Bradley and #16, with #16, #23, kaman and Crabbe we move into the lottery to pick Stanley Johnson. Would that kind of flip be inticing? I think we get better that way honestly (Johnson would have to pan out but I think him being defensively minded will make him a contributor right away).Probably. Not for a guy wanting to win. At this point you try to upgrade the starting lineup, I didn't enjoy watching Batum for us this year, but I don't think he is the guy you upgrade. I think you try to upgrade Rolo. There just aren't any Batum deals out there that make a whole bunch of sense at this time.Let's say we go with what I proposed, We get Bradley and #16, with #16, #23, kaman and Crabbe we move into the lottery to pick Stanley Johnson. I think Leonard can come in and take the 5 spot, that's an upgrade at this point. RoLo can stay if he wants but I'd cap him at 9 million (same as Wes). Not for a guy wanting to win. If Aldridge leaves, then you can have at it and find a taker for Batum.
No, the last thing we need to do is trade him in conference.Houston loves Batum don't they? Maybe you could convince them to trade Ariza in a Batum deal
Thank you for the lesson. I'm just worried that after watching LA against Memphis that his body language tells me he's gone. I would rather get something through a sign and trade then nothing at all. Who would you choose? Vucevich(sp?) instead of Monroe?
I don't know![]()
Bruno and the #20 is about as good as we'd get for Batum.
Nah, Leonard isn't ready just yet. In no way do I want Rolo back. Offer Indiana Kaman's partially guaranteed deal and a sign and traded Rolo for Hibbert, or resign wes, renounce freeland, gee, dwright and try to get Tyson Chandler for a 2 year 16 million deal after Dallas renounces him to try and get Deandre JordanI think Leonard can come in and take the 5 spot, that's an upgrade at this point. I love the Chandler idea, especially at that price. He also wouldn't need to play 30+ minutes here with Leonard.Nah, Leonard isn't ready just yet. In no way do I want Rolo back. It's tough, I would love to keep him at around 15 mins a game on the bench, but yeah, he is not the answer long term starting and I think the team and the fans knew that. He was a stop gap.Nah, Leonard isn't ready just yet. In no way do I want Rolo back. The only difference was that Martel wasn't paid Batum money in Portland. He was like the 5th option and wasn't expected to be more. How ironic is it that Batum has morphed into Martell Webster?

How can we get rid of Batum?

Also, the hack-a-Deandre made them lose to the Spurs the other night in LA.Jordan said he was interested in Dallas. Before his team was eliminated too. Which is a reason why I don't necessarily want him.First, why do people think Deandre Jordan would want to leave LA?Also, the hack-a-Deandre made them lose to the Spurs the other night in LA.
