I couldn't believe what I was hearing, or maybe I could, but it pisses me off that one of the BEST NBA cities and fanbases gets dissed so bad. I'm flat out sick of it. These Media Meatballs need to wake the heck up. Suggesting Dame is potentially wasting away in Portland is a slight in every way. Where does she get off with that BS? Is every other star, not in a overrated congested smog hole, wasting away where they are. How 'bout some other stars come play for one of the five best fanbases in Pro Basketball, Portland Oregon. Wasting away, "F" that garbage take.

I was expecting talk like this to happen since we got swept in the first round. If we had won instead it would be all about the Brow wasting his time in NO instead. When the media likes a player and that players team is under preforming its always combined with a "maybe that player should leave" talk.

Hey I would understand if Portland was a basketball Siberia, where the team played regularly in front of 10,000 or less fans on most nights (Memphis, Denver, Detroit) to name a few, but that ain't the Rose City. It's like she's insinuating that Portland doesn't deserve to have a star. Man! it bugs the "F" out of me. I lost a lot of respect for her with that uneducated statement. That's lazy analysis.

Just from the wording (not wasting time on the video) it sounds like they just want him to be in a bigger market to promote him..

Which I find ironic, because they talk about him an awful lot already.

He'll hear it until he does something beyond the 2nd round, unfortunately.

Not the take I get. it's an uneducated slam on playing for Portland. This is the internet age. Durant got plenty of media in OKC for crying out loud. Dame has a national shoe contract with commercials. He's been on talk shows . He's in the public eye plenty. San Antonio isn't New York or LaLa Land. It's a smack at PDX.

She is stupid. How many other players/teams could you say that about? Ridiculous.

I wouldn’t expect anyone working for ESPN to understand loyalty.
Mic drop status

Dame living here in Portland like he's royalty. Beadle wasting time at ESPN, she got no loyalty.

She's obviously jealous of Brooke Olzendam for being more attractive, knows more about basketball and gets to watch Lillard play every game.

Eh. If that's the case, I don't care. Cant help them if they aren't askin for help.

I know I’m fairly new here but the 1st page entertains me. There are threads that we should trade Dame now, Dame being 1st team, and now Dame according to some lady on ESPN is wasting his time in Portland.

you'll learn soon enough to tune out most of the shit that goes on here.

And now for your entertainment, Mr Conway Twitty.

One of the biggest knocks against Damian his whole career is that he plays for a small market team. It seems to me that people are saying that small market teams don't deserve great players. They might as well take their talents to a big market team instead, because then "We'd appreciate them more".

Which i find highly ironic given that we live in a time where you can watch any game any time. Ah, the laziness and brainwashing of the supposed norms of society.

At some point in the last 242 years, we have gone from a nation that loves the underdog to a nation of front running douchebags.

I prefer the good old days (The Colonies vs. The British Empire - Go Colonies!!!!).

Now instead of rooting for the underdog to rise up and defeat the favorite, everybody jumps from bandwagon to bandwagon. It's much easier to be a fan when "your team" is always winning. Somebody else starts wining more? No problem. Switch teams. In years past, it was the douchebags in Lakers jerseys at the Rose Garden. Now, every front running douchebag shows up at Moda Center in a Steph Curry Warriors jersey.

The media perpetuates this mentality. The media loves to a good dynasty. They know that as a nation full of front runners dominant teams will always draw big ratings.

So, rather than admire and root for Lillard, they see a 1st team All NBA talent that should jump ship, take the easy route and join a pre-made contender.
