Honestly engaging with you sometimes is exhausting. You seem to purposely miss the point over and over. Even now your all hung up on the word aggressive and your trying to manufacturer some sort of victim complex about it but you seem to be fine with the strawman part?

and you arent doing the same?

like you've ever really engaged with me?
Hyperbole???

If you cant handle someone questioning your post without thinking its all aggressive….

Jfc… this place is so emo sometimes..

Why would someone in here put somebody on ignore anyway?
I had to put marzy on ignore. He's the only one I've ever put on ignore because I couldn't stand his dog whistle calls to racism.

Ever met him?

im 99% sure he is just miss understood due to generational lingo differences.
He is 84 and not a threat to anyone like some people think.

many things in this forum get misinterpreted. Id put money that he is one of them.

They are getting bolder.

shoulda cracked down a year plus ago when looting and vandalism was happening, but i know i was told my priorities were wacked for pointing out the wrongs going on that we are turning a blind eye to and should be addressing along with equal rights.

I knew the pendulum would shift to near anarchy and its only beginning…

People defended these things a year ago as not a big deal…. Not what we should be focused on…etc.

and now we have what we have and i will say i told people so! Lol

Average rent was 18.7% of the average monthly salary and a new house cost 225% of the average yearly salary.

For comparison, in 2021, average rent is 26% of the average monthly income and a new house is 788% of the average yearly income.

It's called greed

These sorts of things have NEVER happened before. What is the world COMING TO? Is this a COMMUNIST country NOW?

barfo

denial or dismissal of these types of crimes increasing is not a good solution. Nor is minimizing them because it has happened in the past.

They let a bunch of criminals out due to COVID last year. And the DA is all about reformative justice, no bail, and letting criminals out immediately in a catch and release scheme.

So yeah, its new crime wave. Lawlessness runs the big cities now.

LA is a warzone

Yikes
There's a lot of money to steal in that city, and jewelry....LA is the seedy Greyhound Bus Station of the west coast ....but the weather keeps the street bums alive longer than a place like Boston in the winter.

So many questions. Under what system or measurement would you reward a single mother for the hard work of doing their job as a parent? Should their job pay them more because they chose to have kids? Would that incentivize divorce? And what's stopping the mother from investing or taking advantage of the opportunities to be had from capitalism? I guess there's something to be said about working smart as well as working hard. Nothing is stopping you from going after your dreams.

On the flip side, Elon Musk for example has been known to work 120 hour work weeks. You don't get to where he's at by being lazy, so I'm not sure that analogy is even accurate.

I guess we could embrace something like Communism since that would bring about equality - equally in poverty.
How about free child care and college? Then she could get a job during the day and have a somewhat normal life...

I've met him twice and complimented him on his behavior during those meetings in here numerous times. Personally, I like the man and probably always will and I would trust him 100% with my lost wallet. But he still makes racist remarks in here and I cannot abide by that not one itsy bitsy teeny bit.

I may have missed it. But do you think there might be a generational communication gap? Marzy is 84.
Remember. In the 50’s, gay meant happy.
Now its a sexual preference.
Sometimes the changing lingo can get lost on old timers who sound worse than what they are because they haven't updated their lingo to the current culture?

No and by the way I have a cousin whose middle name was 'Gay'.

By having a more well adjusted, better educated work force and lower rates of disease, crime, and poverty.

So a reduction in needed funds for the police force, medicare, low income help(welfare and food stamps for the poverty stricken), and education?

how do these things get improved without increased funding and where would those funds come from?

Im not trying to argue. Im honestly confused.

You may have to increase funding initially. Just like building a bridge.

See i think this is a concern for many who don't believe the government is as efficient with the funds they already receive.
Many dont believe the government allocates funds and spends optimally and efficiently. Wouldn't that only be exacerbated with increased funding?

I will say this though. tax loopholes for the rich could likely go a long ways to offset this increased spending without increasing taxes, but i don't have a clue what percent that would help

Do you have any idea how long Republicans have been making this claim about inefficiency and yet when they get in power nothing changes except they've squandered on yet another tax cut where it has been shown in black and white there is no trickle down and no improvement whatsoever has been made improving people's lives, except for the ueber rich, nor any infrastructure has been improved.

Free CC or VoEd education is fine for those that finish HS. I would not want to pay for a kids 2 years at community college to learn what he should have in HS. So if they graduate from HS then its cool to pay for Community College or VoEd.

Yeah, you could certainly increase funding enough by closing tax loopholes for those earning over, say, $400k per year. In fact, that's what most "progressives" have proposed to fund these programs.

Absolutely. You don't just throw money at kids who can't pass their classes.

If they don't have a high enough GPA then you'd guide them toward an apprenticeship program, which would also be fully funded.

And deficit spending has INCREASED under "conservative" policies. It's a total farce.
