I'd like to think that in an online dating world (were I to suddenly become widowed, for example), I'd be a desirable commodity because I'm stable, respectful, and shown that I can make a commitment. But I'd probably be in for a rude awakening if I actually had to test my theory, based on precisely what you said.I have been reading various things about how much harder it is to date in the online world (for men.) Which I think is interesting because you'd think it would be easier, but the sudden availability of men in a market setting has allowed women to be even more selective about who they date/sleep with. In the past it was up to the guy to initiate contact and get the ball rolling, but now they can just swipe yes or no to people who are already available by simply downloading an app. It's brutal.
Just glad I don't have to worry about that.
