They're not assets, but they're still tools. They may not be desirable since they're commoditized, but they still can serve a purpose. They're like anti-lock brakes; everyone has them, you probably won't need them, but if the situation arises where you do need them, you'll be glad they're there.I know all about the other contracts but I wouldn't call them worthless. If a team like Detroit decides to blow it up than getting our three expirings and a couple 1sts and young players is much more likely to get Griffin than a bunch of okay players that wouldn't help them win and still have multiple years remaining.
