Question: How would YOU improve this team for next season '16-'17??

Explain why you would add or subtract them.
Try to be realistic with cap figures and contract amounts available.

My plan:
Buy a 2nd Round pick and select your player - wing, pg, or big to groom with Montero, Alexander.
Cheap addition this year.

Sign one of Whiteside, Horford, Howard to FA contract. Defense and Rebounding!!
Re-sign Harkless and one of Crabbe or Henderson.

I would not pay Leonard over $14M/year. I think someone will.
We will not be able to afford a FA big and also both Crabbe and Henderson. One will have to go away.

Lillard - CJ - Harkless - Aminu - W,H,H
PG - Cr or H - Davis - Vonleh - Plumlee
Montero - Alexander - 2ndRd pick

Buy a 2nd and draft gp2.

Sign howard, whiteside or horford this offseason.

Resign crabbe, leonard and harkless.

If you get one of howard, whiteside or horford, trade plumlee for a future first and young wing player or backup pg.

Use room exception to sign bench big or backup pg(if you didnt acquire one in plumlee trade)

I would go after Howard Fa due to Hordford and Whiteside properly won't be there so dont waste my time. I would buy 2nd round pick and trade plum and Cleveland 1st to get 1st round pick. I would sign Harkless and Crabbe. Only way I sign Myers if he take contract around 8 million. I would find backup pg that actually be in the rotation to help decrease Dame and CJ minutes.

Really? Yeah, he's tall and he can shoot, but based on his track record and injury history, I don't see it (and I'm a Leonard supporter). If I had to guess I'd say no more than $12mil max. OK, that extra $2mil is basically chump change in today's NBA. Maybe he will.

$10-$12 max.

This is pretty much my plan as well. This would be the consensus plan A

Free beer, food, and courtside seats for Wookiees, shaved or unshaved.

Good plan.

I would not expect Leonard under $12 mill per year. Big, can shoot, still young, growing. If he develops one post move he becomes very good offensively.

He is mostly one dimensional and injured. I sure hope youre wrong, which I think you are. :)

Letting the injured guy walk is probably worth 2-3 wins right there.

You know. I'm really not trying to argue and am mostly joking, but gosh man do you read your own Moniker? It says you get no respect. Respect is generally a two way street and usually starts with giving before getting. So in this instance why is it hard to give enough respect to Meyers to acknowledge him by his name? I think I get that your trying to be funny. I think we all know who likes him and who doesn't around here. No need to be disrespectful on the heels of a moniker that is based off of not getting respect. Just sayin'. :)

There's not as much money out there as you guys think. I toyed around with 2k rosters and upcoming free agents compared to cap space. The amount of space is overrated.

BTW, if we trade Plum, AFA and Vonleh for Jimmy Butler and sign Hassan Whiteside, we win 58 games for the 3rd seed, beat the Kings in 6, the Thunder in 6, the Warriors in 6, then the Cavs in 7.

I could go with a boy, or a man like Arya because he is nobody?

Or call him Oscar?

Hey, you knew who I was talking about though

*Let Crabbe walk
He's one-dimensional and overrated as a defender. He's going to get at least $12m+/per. If you think Barnes is going to get overpaid....

*Max-out Whiteside
He's the most disruptive shotblocker in the league. His p&r defense is a concern though. He'd thrive under Stotts. He doesn't pass but a majority of his offense comes from p&r lobs.

*Land a first rounder
Try to parlay Vonleh into Sabonis but if that doesn't work try to land a mid-first and grab Hernangomez.

*Keep an eye on the future
Buy a second and draft (& stash) Georgios Papagiannis.

Yawn.

Who cares if crabbe is going to be overpaid. His cap hold is like 3 million. The ONLY way you dont resign him is if you can get a player comparable to his 3 million dollar cap hold, which is not possible for next year.

Crabbe is what? 23? Sign him to a 3 year 36 million deal, in two years he is an expiring.

A very efficient shooter who has the length to play SG or SF, while also having active hands on defense with the potential to be a good to great defender sounds like a guy worth $12M. We signed Batum for $12M when the cap is half what it will be, and when Batum only showed us the same stuff Crabbe has.

Not enough cap space to sign big FA AND ALSO re-sign these guys. Choices have to be made.
False.

It would still be like 25 million in cap, 5 short of an official max. But you can manuever a little bit more by trading plumlee for a future pick, and possibly vonleh as well to get closer to that number.

But i think 25 - 27/yr will be enough for howard

It alright to go over the cap but what you don't want to over is the luxury tax. That at 111 million that what you don't want to exceed. So between 111 and 92 million that extra 19 million you can use if a team does it right. First you get to 25-27 million with renounce enough to get to that mark. Then you sign your free agents that you want. The key is your free agent has to be patient until Neil go after the big fish he wants. Because all your free agent has bird right so you can go over the cap that way.

Almost as if youre

Almost as if youre describing the guy Im talking about

Ornery? I think you meant that?

I said i was mostly joking. But really. It seems its you being ORNERY because you cant seem to drop your annoyance with Meyers Leonard.
Your right to refer to him as you please, but all im saying as you are boring and predictable in doing so. Sometimes its good to change it up a bit ya know? Before you know it no one is reading you because they already know what your gonna say....

People skip your post because it is like. the same post as your previous ten posts about him... Gets old.
