Since I project we will be a top 4 seed in the playoffs, our pick will be low. We have our stars, so we need to fill our role players via the draft, free agency.

If he is still on the board, I really want to draft Tyler Hansbrough

They call him Psycho T for a reason. Not only does he bring it 110% on the court, all the time, he has a tremendous work ethic. I am watching a ESPN bit on him and he can not be taken out of the weight room and gym. Even Roy Williams has to tell him a day off is okay once in a while. He is very disciplined and I think his intensity/toughness would work PERFECTLY with Pryzbilla. We need some nastiness with this team. Yes, there will be better foreign prospects on the board or some one may drop, but we need Indians, not Chiefs. I also don't see Frye or Diagu here next season, so a backup 4 to play sparingly would be beneficial. He is the type of player who you HATE to play against and LOVE to have on your team.

NBA Comparison: Eduardo Najera/Mark Madsen
Strengths:
Approaches each game with a high intensity level and great determination
Has an uncanny knack of scoring after contact occurs in the paint
Has a tremendous work ethic which has enabled him to improve in numerous facets of the game
Hansbrough does a great job of drawing fouls from opposing defenders he's able to capitalize on this with his solid free throw shooting ability

Please do not say he will be a Madsen clone. Madsen never won the Wooden award, let alone twice(He is the favorite to win it this year)

haha.. what kind of compliment is that? Being one of the all-time leading scorers in UNC history and a college player of the year candidate and being compared to Mark Madsen.

Personally, I see a lot of Brian Grant/Buck Williams in his game

i think he is gonna go late teens, hes my personal fav college player ever

There's a pick before number 1?

That, ladies and gentleman, is a good ol' fashioned knee-slapper! Geeeee, perhaps for your next useless post in our forum (read: your next post; they're all "useless"), you could work in a dick and/or fart joke? :dunno:

Boy, Mark Madsen? Those are some lofty expectations.

I can't point to any one reason why I don't like him. I just don't.

I don't think his game will amount to much in the NBA. He would have come out last year if so, right?

I'm intrigued by Hansbrough. I hope Curry falls somehow to wherever we can get to. I like his attitude, style, game, etc.

But if we're talking quality Tar Heels to watch out for, I like Green. He looked good last year and looks solid this year too.

Stephen Curry would be awesome, though he seems like a poor man's Brandon Roy to me. The guy is pretty smooth and will be a nice player in the NBA. I like him too but doubt he'd be around when Portland picks.

Kind of sounds like the same reason why people don't like Kevin Love or even... Mark Madsen to a point. I'm not a big Hansborough fan either, and never a Love fan too. Weird.

I actually liked Kevin Love. I believe he'll have a solid NBA career.

Hansbrough just irks me. It's his serial-killer intensified glares that give me the hebejeebees. I can't watch him long enough to gauge how good he would be in the NBA.

Boooooo! :tsktsk: He is not going to be a good NBA player... None of you can see this?!?!:sigh:

Why so serious?

I'd rather package our pick in a trade, than draft another rookie. If I had to pick a player in our range I would take, Patrick Mills from St. Mary's. He's a really quick PG who played really well against the USA team. He was on the Australia national team.

It's a no brainer and it's not Tyler.

Also, Thabeet from UCONN would be an interesting backup for Greg.

Curry is going to be a high lottery pick. I do not think we are in the lottery this year.

Yeah, but we have a lot of pieces to package and move up, if needed.

Freeland is breaking out as one of the best bigs in the ACB at only 21 years of age.

Koponen has a lot of potential.

Bayless could even be packaged.

Curry is not needed nor do I think he will be very good on an NBA level.

I think he will be a very good NBA player.

He has good court vision and is one of the best pure shooters to come out of College in a long time. The guy is also a perfect fit next to Roy at the point.
