Re: If you like your Healthcare coverage, you can keep your Healthcare coverage! Peri

I'm no Obama supporter, but it's hard to imagine how he's worse than Bush.

Bush was a very poor President as he had no idea what to do.

Obama is divisive and punitive to those he dislikes.

Obama has no idea what to do, either, and his divisiveness makes him a worse President than Bush, based on that criteria. Plus, Bush at least let Ted Kennedy write the No School Left Behind law, which Democrats later blamed on Bush, even though the Dem Congress passed it. Obama quite literally refused to let the GOP have any input on ObamaCare, saying "I Won" to them when they raised concerns.

Re: If you like your Healthcare coverage, you can keep your Healthcare coverage! Peri

Anyone else feel like they can't wait for the "State of the Union" speech? I can't wait for the bullshit to spew all over the blind sheep that followed this prick into presidency

If he wanted to be concise, he could just say, "Fucked".

Re: If you like your Healthcare coverage, you can keep your Healthcare coverage! Peri

Obama's gone into hiding since he said "I'm sorry" to the people he screwed over and lied to, deliberately.

Now even Diane Feinstein is saying that they need to revise the law, but that fix is going to disrupt the entire financial structure of this turd. This is what happens when you pass a huge law without reading it. Partisan idiots bought the lies, including the Dems in congress; those with an objective brain knew what a fustercluck it would be, and tried to warn people.

November 12, 2013 - Obama Job Approval Drops To Lowest Point Ever, Quinnipiac University National Poll Finds; Health Care Act Won't Improve Health Care, Voters Say

American voters disapprove 54 - 39 percent of the job President Barack Obama is doing, his lowest approval rating in any Quinnipiac University national poll since he became president, as even women disapprove 51 - 40 percent, according to a national poll released today.

Today's results compare to a slight 49 - 45 percent disapproval October 1. President Obama's lowest score before today was a 55 - 41 percent disapproval in an October 6, 2011 survey by the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University.

Today, disapproval is 58 - 37 percent among men, 91 - 6 percent among Republicans and 63 - 30 percent among independent voters. Democrats approve 79 - 14 percent. White voters disapprove 62 - 32 percent while black voters approve 75 - 15 percent and Hispanic voters disapprove by a slim 47 - 41 percent margin.

Voters in every income and age group disapprove of the job Obama is doing, with the biggest disapproval, 59 - 36 percent, among voters over 65 years old.

(Every demographic except the barfo one).

Strange how your unbiased polls always fail to mention that Republican popularity is below the Democrats and below the President.

http://sacramento.cbslocal.com/2013...-having-insurance-cancelled-due-to-obamacare/

More than 1 million cancellation notices have been sent to Californians as the Affordable Care Act begins allowing individuals to buy insurance through exchanges, Jones said. The federal law requires policies to offer minimum levels of coverage, forcing companies to terminate many existing plans. But Jones said that under the law, insurers have another year to do so.

When your coverage is upgraded to meet the new standards, you receive a cancellation letter, followed by an application to start the better insurance policy, usually at a lower price.

just found out my insurance will only cost me $30 a month!!!!! i love this new obamacare stuff

Strange how incumbent congresspeople keep getting reelected, ain't it?

If you actually dig into the poll a little bit deeper, Obama is behind republicans on pretty much every issue now:

Re: If you like your Healthcare coverage, you can keep your Healthcare coverage! Peri

No way that the insurance companies would still offer the plans at that price anyway. ALL plans were increased arbitrarily by the insurance cartel.

Oh fuck man. Why you passing the buck brother, instead of blaming the administration that started this cluster fuck in the first place?

Re: If you like your Healthcare coverage, you can keep your Healthcare coverage! Peri

We no longer have health insurance in this country. Insurance is a membership in a risk pool you join for a fee to jointly limit your potential losses. The company selling the insurance has a value added function of identifying and marketing the shares in and managing the risk pool that member join for mutual protection.

Now the risk pools have been eliminated. We now have a dictator run cooperative providing health care coverage to all people that must join by law, enforced by the government. The company managing the cooperative will set the rates to produce a 20% profit above the cost
of a single all risks covered pool.

Now I can't imagine why a sane man would want this system but Progressives do.
It no longer seems fitting to call them progressives, perhaps cooperative progressive
is more appropriate. But not quite, cooperatives are self managed by members with equal voting powers.
This turkey is dictator run!

Funny none of you complained about Obamacare when the Heritage Foundation wrote the bill. Nor did you complain when Bob Dole put forth this VERY same plan. Nor did you complain when Mitt Romney Passed it WITH the employer mandate (written by Republicans). No, none of you complained then. But now that Obama passes it through both houses of congress and has it vetted by the SCOTUS as constitutional do you complain and call it dictatorship??

IT'S A REPUBLICAN PLAN...

Gerrymandering sure is strange... You can do that when you have a bunch of Republican Governors.

Why should I complain what ever Romney did in Mass? I have no recollection of Bob Dole purposing this Insurance cooperative. The Chief Justice of the court stuck his head up his arse
and pull down the shades. You will find no where in the Constitution where the Federal government is to run insurance cooperatives, Period! States can and do, but not the Feds.

By the way, your little diddy attached to your posts is rather silly displayed with every post. You may hate me for my race but that is your problem.
It hinders me not at all in my daily business.

I believe I read some of his work once. Once was enough.

Re: If you like your Healthcare coverage, you can keep your Healthcare coverage! Peri

let me see if I can get this straight..the guy that would not change a single aspect of obamacare a few weeks ago, just amended a law (can he do that?) to "allow " the sales of discontinued insurance plans? In doing so he has extended this deadline for one year..past the Nov elections of 2014..and at the threat of losing Dem support on an up coming vote..and he did all of this while placing blame elsewhere..

meanwhile 27 thousand people have completed the process to apply for obamacare...lets look at what "completing the process" is. That qualification does not include paying for or singing up for service. Nope. That means that they went on line and priced the product, as well as checked for what government subsidies they would qualify for to help pay for the policy..and again obama blames the right..woot...

Sorry, but that's just silly.

The Heritage Foundation is the republican party? Who says republicans have good ideas and democrats don't? The obvious conclusion is that neither party does.

The one flaw in your assertion here is no republican voted for ObamaCare. Not a one. Zip. Nada. Zero votes.

The dumb insurance companies will honor existing policies.

The smart ones will cancel them and charge hiked ObamaCare type prices for policies the buyer doesn't really want.

In this state it takes three to six months to have an insurance plan approved by the insurance commissioner in this state..to try and re qualify a discontinued plan is a waste of monies and effort. I do not see it happening.

Re: If you like your Healthcare coverage, you can keep your Healthcare coverage! Peri

Clearly today's move was an attempt by Obama to dump the blame for the cancelled policies on the insurance industry. Nice move by a guy who's been depending upon those companies to make the ACA work.

My wife has been on conference calls all night, and got called to SF Sunday for emergency meetings early next week. She works for a very large non-profit HMO. I'm not sure the president understands that his words actually have meaning, and people in the industry are very confused right now after spending over 2 years preparing individual policies that were acceptable under ObamaCare.

Re: If you like your Healthcare coverage, you can keep your Healthcare coverage! Peri

Obama is incredible! The dude has a bucket of balls and thimble half full of brains.
Wtf, now he thinks he can salvage this cluster fuck of a non plan by executive order???

Tell the Insurance company to sell the old plans for one more year? My God, somebody better tell this guy quick that he ain't King and if he was he has nobody that can put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

How in the hell did this become the leader of my nation??? By golly I think we need to improve the schools, raise the voting age and to hell with voter ID's, we need competency testing.

Re: If you like your Healthcare coverage, you can keep your Healthcare coverage! Peri

This entire mess, and the way Obama has handled it, aligns very well with why people (the reasonable ones, anyway) had concerns about his lack of experience and lack of leading any real organizations.

There is such a huge difference between having an idea and knowing what it takes to get it implemented and lead people to get it done. Even if you agree with Obama's ideas, it is tough to argue that he is good at implementing them.
