If it was totally fair why dont you see women competing against men more. Its because they know it isn't totally fair. Yep there are men that couldn't beat a woman at any sport and there are women that could compete with men.
Why is it wrong to consider fairness in sports? How about we leave it up to women to decide what should be allowed in their sport.
My senior grandson would not be allowed to play girls HS softball, not because men make those rules but it's women that do, for women's sports.
 
I pitched fast pitch softball for decades and men throw from 46' and women 43'. Women play with a smaller diameter ball too. These are rules made by women not men.
 
Again, is this really a problem?

So far this is one transgender woman on a college swim team.

I'm for all of those things... And again, my stance is in defense of what the women I've spoken to have told me.

My daughters play and train against boys all the time. It's made them better, but an average boy is so much stronger and more athletic than even elite girls... It's just not competition.

It's certainly worth discussing. She is setting records that are making a mockery of those who came before.

It's not a problem for me, but I can see why it would be for people who compete in that sport, and especially those whose records are being shattered.
 
In Missouri a transgender man won a $4 million settlement against his former school district. He began transition at 10, before puberty, and played several sports on boys' teams until he was forced off when banned from locker room. He was also banned from restrooms. A separate one stall restroom was allocated only for him. He charged gender discrimination and intentional infliction of emotional distress, in shorter term, abuse

That settlement was well deserved. A person deserves to compete at their proper level, and there was no competitive advantage.

Hopefully the school district learned its lesson...

Two Central Valley teachers are threatened with being fired. At a conference they talked about organizing a Gay/Straight Alliance at school where they teach, talking about how students sometimes find it easier to talk to them than their parents about sexuality and gender identity. A right wing mole secretly recorded them and gave video to anti trans activist whose declared life's work is to hurt transgender youth. It was broadcast and screaming transphobic homophobic mob demanding their heads.

Demanding their heads for what?
 
For years, we heard about all the horrible things that would happen if same sex couples married. If an election looked close, adding an anti equality ballot measure was a sure fire way to turn out right wing voters.
Marriage equality has been around over a decade and all that has happened is people got married. Sure, some dedicated bigots blame California fires on gays, divine punishment, but red states have had natural disasters so a hard sell. Just can't whip up fear around marriage equality.
Arguably best known gay person in America is Pete Buttigieg. White, male, Christian, conventionally handsome, gender conforming, Ivy League educated veteran Cabinet member in stable relationship with two cute children. Hard to whip up fear about your kids turning out like him.
But trans people? Even some who accept marriage equality find them strange, icky. Can't comprehend.
So finally a new means for whipping up feat and hatred against our community. Men in skirts attacking little while girls in public restrooms! Boys pretend to be girls and wreck girls' and women's sports!
Very scary!

Happy New Year.

I'll never forget that one episode of Jerry Springer. It was about people who had had sex changes then became gay. I think one of the couples both had had sex changes. It was a head-scratcher for sure.
