Technically he's right. Texas Legislation clearly states any sexual education of any sort is the responsibility of the parents not the school district.

I don't agree with it but what needs to change is the legislation not that act of celebrating "Pride Week".
Of course that is my opinion. I'm sure there are those on here who would disagree.
 
In other words, children and teens must never be exposed to any ideas their parents don't hold.

Like Pink Floyd said, we don't need no education.

Yeah because it’s a school I guess they would link it to education.
The point I made though was more about the legislation that was in place. He has a point that it could be considered “illegal”. Of course it’s absolutely outrageous and in my humble opinion stupid but homophobes gonna phobe right?
So honestly my point was they need to change the legislation.

I haven't dismissed anything. I have neutrally looked at this. One side we have women and men complaining about having to compete against transgender athletes. Transgender athletes have been competing for years. Now that a couple of them have finally won, there are complaints. It does seem like overreaction to me.

Do transgender athletes have an unfair advantage? Is it costing women scholarships etc, or is just people being butthurt. How much of an affect has it really had to allow transgender athletes to compete with other athletes of their gender?

This needs more looking into.

On the other side we have the transgendered athletes. It doesn't seem anyone gives to shits about their place in this. How demoralizing it it is to be rejected like this. They already have to deal with so much. They are putting themselves out there to compete, only to face more rejection because of something that's not their fault.

Can you see how demoralizing it would be to force someone with a female gender to compete against men. Some are ok with forcing this humiliation on them.

Nope. I haven't supported Trans competing in women's divisions since I was made aware of it many years ago. It doesn't make sense to me as a competitor to allow that, and it hasn't been acceptable to any female athlete or coach I've discussed it with.

I understand it might be tough for the few people it excludes, but many people are excluded from competing in many levels of sports in the name of maintaining the spirit of the competition.

It honestly makes me sick to see a person who was born with advantages of a man celebrate beating a woman in a physical competition.

It completely ruins the competition for me. It makes it fake, and I lose any respect for the person celebrating. And I don't understand any competitor who supports it.

On the other hand, I have the utmost respect for Mack Briggs. Way to fricken go!
 
In a school meeting with parents, I was told I would never understand a certain topic because I am a “cis-male”. I told the person who called me that to, “Standby, I’m sorry, but I need to go google what that means.” She got PISSED! I actually had no idea what it meant. I do now.

Kentucky legislature trying to pass anti trans bill. There is exactly one openly trans female athlete in the state. She is in 8th grade. She organized her school's field hockey team and plays on the team. The state, in their wisdom, want to ban her from the team she organized.
