Technically he's right. Texas Legislation clearly states any sexual education of any sort is the responsibility of the parents not the school district.Texas attorney general notified Austin school district they are breaking the law by holding Pride Week activities.
So you are saying Pride is just about sex?Technically he's right. Texas Legislation clearly states any sexual education of any sort is the responsibility of the parents not the school district.
I don't agree with it but what needs to change is the legislation not that act of celebrating "Pride Week".
Of course that is my opinion. I'm sure there are those on here who would disagree.
No. That was not included in my comment in any way.So you are saying Pride is just about sex?
But the point was made Pride is illegal because of ban on sex education.No. That was not included in my comment in any way.
Yeah because it’s a school I guess they would link it to education. But the point was made Pride is illegal because of ban on sex education.
Nope. I haven't supported Trans competing in women's divisions since I was made aware of it many years ago. It doesn't make sense to me as a competitor to allow that, and it hasn't been acceptable to any female athlete or coach I've discussed it with.It doesn't have to be all or nothing. Alot of people would like it to be all or nothing on the other side of things, forcing all transgender athletes to compete against men or to segregate them into their own categories of competition.
Forcing all transgender athletes to compete against only men, doesn't seem right, and segregating them into their own grouping of completion is hurtful and can be perceived as discriminatory to the transgender community and may well be.
I don't agree with making laws in opposition to transgendered athletes competing either.
I haven't dismissed anything. I have neutrally looked at this. One side we have women and men complaining about having to compete against transgender athletes. Transgender athletes have been competing for years. Now that a couple of them have finally won, there are complaints. It does seem like overreaction to me.
Do transgender athletes have an unfair advantage? Is it costing women scholarships etc, or is just people being butthurt. How much of an affect has it really had to allow transgender athletes to compete with other athletes of their gender?
This needs more looking into.
On the other side we have the transgendered athletes. It doesn't seem anyone gives to shits about their place in this. How demoralizing it it is to be rejected like this. They already have to deal with so much. They are putting themselves out there to compete, only to face more rejection because of something that's not their fault.
Can you see how demoralizing it would be to force someone with a female gender to compete against men. Some are ok with forcing this humiliation on them.

I understand it might be tough for the few people it excludes, but many people are excluded from competing in many levels of sports in the name of maintaining the spirit of the competition.
It honestly makes me sick to see a person who was born with advantages of a man celebrate beating a woman in a physical competition.
It completely ruins the competition for me. It makes it fake, and I lose any respect for the person celebrating. And I don't understand any competitor who supports it.
On the other hand, I have the utmost respect for Mack Briggs. Way to fricken go!
“Standby, I’m sorry, but I need to go google what that means.”
In a school meeting with parents, I was told I would never understand a certain topic because I am a “cis-male”. I told the person who called me that to, “Standby, I’m sorry, but I need to go google what that means.” She got PISSED! I actually had no idea what it meant. I do now.
But the story book with the snake and the Apple says different.

Crazy how that works? Of course it depends on who is reading the story and it even says in the story that the story can change. But the story book with the snake and the Apple says different.
There can be no logical argument against her playing. Illogical laws are evil.Kentucky legislature trying to pass anti trans bill. There is exactly one openly trans female athlete in the state. She is in 8th grade. She organized her school's field hockey team and plays on the team. The state, in their wisdom, want to ban her from the team she organized.
Logic and the “Good Book”! That’ll mix well. There can be no logical argument against her playing. Illogical laws are evil.
Pete Buttigieg, white, male, Christian, gender conforming, veteran, Ivy League educated, successful career, stable marriage, two children, has become the new Republican bogeyman. Because gay people aren't supposed to be all that. We aren't supposed to be at all.
So Marjorie Q Greene talks about him using girls' restroom, which he doesn't. Senator Tom Cotton is moaning that "liberals" want you to walk, oh the horror, take the subway, or ride a scooter or whatever it is that Pete Buttigieg uses. Translation, drive a gas guzzler to prove you aren't gay.
Straight males so terrified of women and gays. Outlaw abortion, ban trans people, don't even say gay. These macho men are terrified.
Insecure and scared straight males are. The overwhelming majority of us aren't.
