This team has been way better than I thought they'd be to this point.

That being said, my cautious realism was probably closer then some of the extreme homerism. Unless they COMPLETELY collapse, this team will win way more games than I thought it would.

This is the second time he has let us completely collapse in the second half of the season. We have won 2 of our last 7. One was a squeaker past the Knicks and the other was a home squeaker by a Timberwolves team playing without their three best scorers. This is an epic choke job. IF we make the playoffs, we will get swept when we get there. If Grizzlies get hot, we could miss playoffs. Not trolling, not MIXUMing. Just telling the truth.

While I agree with you about the choke job; I don't agree that it's coach Stott's fault. I don't believe that he has the players that fit in his system. I do think that his system exposes certain players thou.

I see that your a commissioner but at 0-14 in the last 14 at making the playoffs to the second round, shouldn't the waters be far more choppier? When will they become less that calm; when it becomes 0-28? I don't say this to troll but at what point can we call our favorite team out to a higher level? Other teams with far less resources have not only made it to the playoffs more than us but they have also made it to the second round of the playoffs more than us.

MM was right. He said that by the All Star break, we would have an injured big and that we would be an average team. He was right. Unbelievable foresight.

Thier is not doubt in my mind that the blazers have a story-line and they are sticking to it season after season. It's starting to look like the same story line is being read again. I thought this season was different until LA stated that other All-stars wanted to play with him when last year he implored other all-stars to play with him. That's when the tide started to change for me.

I almost never do. I didn't get overly upset about a loss until the loss at home to OKC. It became clear that the season was taking a bad turn. Then we lose to Clips. Then to Spurs without their stars. When we were a top 3 team, I never got very upset about a loss. I was the optimistic one when people were panicking that we were only 12-10 since 24-5. I was the one saying it was just a slump. Not a bad slump at all. But it is now clear that it is worse than that. It's a very bad trend. Suns are only 3.5 games behind us. And it feels like last year. I'm reacting to the trend that is not being reversed.

There was an article about the Blazers D a few weeks ago talking about how the scheme is one that takes a few years to learn and the players are just having a hard time getting adjusted to it. I guess its hard to figure out exactly what the scheme really is when you walk into Stotts office to see a board tittled "Defense" with 10 dots on it and all it says is "outscore the opposing five".

When do we stop placing blame on the coaching staff and management and start placing the blame on Allen? He is notorious for going from one extreme style of play to another. One extreme from acquiring players to another. He's ultra aggressive one year and then gubber conservative another year. Considering new coaches get about 4 years and a change in coaching is made about every 2 years left on player salary, doesn't it take more time than usual to get that coaches players in place and once he does then he's fired and the cycle repeats it's self? Sorry but 0-14 rings true about right now.

The truth is, KS, the Blazers aren't quite as good as you thought they were in December, and they aren't quite as bad as you think they are now.

So the team got off to a much better start than anyone anywhere anticipated. They have come back to earth and playing much more where people expected and suddenly it's a coching firing worth disaster? I suspect Olshey had a road map of his plan and is going to stick to it instead of getting overly excited about a better than expected start of a season.

When you or I go to work, we think of the task at hand so we can keep our job and pay the bills. We use the blazers or other teams as a distraction but when I read posts like this, I can't help but believe that even posters such as you or I can put a team together better than Allen.

I love KP. I don't think blazer management gets enough time to full implement their system before they are fired. I meet him in person and thought the world of him. He was articulatent, inspiring, and a guy you just wanted to get behind or take a bullet for. Thought PA and LM hung him out to dry on that press conference.
