Certainly looks like he's 300lbs. :MARIS61:

Looked about 180ish and short. But, let's keep playing "what if" with him being 300 lbs. and Trayvon being 140 lbs, because it's a fun mental exercise.

It also looks like the cracka azz cracka police are sure protecting "their boy" and not doing an investigation. Seems like they just let him go on his merry way!

Yeah, you have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt to be able to convict someone though. Burden of proof is on the prosecution. Zimmerman is innocent until proven guilty. yadda yadda yadda.

Zimmerman is innocent until proven guilty. So was Martin....except he has already been executed.

You are the one who keeps claiming Martin was justifiably killed in self-defense.

Wrong

I wish people had the ability to think in more than just binary right/wrong thought patterns, but it's a rarity.

Make up your mind - was it an execution or a homicide?

I'm guessing only Zimmerman truly knows the answer to that one. It's not an either/or situation, and you and many others are making it out to be one. We can only go on the facts as they are known at present.

And that is where we part company. If Martin had been a white skin-head wearing a swastika t-shirt, and Zimmerman was Jewish or black, my position would be the same. I'm not sure everyone here can make that claim. If that makes my view simplistic - I can live with that.

What's your position? It sure isn't based on the known facts at this point.

I have already stated my position: Zimmerman should have stayed in his car. At best, he was guilty of bad judgement. At worst, he was looking for an excuse to start a fight.

Oh, that's fair, and I agree with it. :)

Yeah, you are right, he doesn't look to be over 200lbs. Not a large man.

I could see determined and skinny kid taking him if Zimmerman has no training.

My previous hypothetical had Travon at 160 and Zimmerman at 210+, but keep it up, it helps with your "I'm the exteme guy" theme.

BTW, if you want to talk about known facts....

Zimmerman tells the 911 operator "these assholes always get away"

Nobody on either side of the debate has claimed Zimmerman knew Martin.....so who are "these assholes" ? Did he mistake Martin for another young, black male? Was he refering to blacks in general? Strangers in his neighborhood in general?

That statement alone justifies hard questions about his motivation that night. Just don't confuse hard questions with saying he is guilty until proven innocent!

How is it extreme to comment on the known facts at this point? Zimmerman seems like a pseudo tough guy who lipped off to the wrong guy. Lucky for him, I guess, he had a gun. Unlucky for Trayvon, who would have whipped the guy.

The numerous "what if" scenarios are useless in a court of law, and nothing contradicts Zimmerman's story at this point.

Maybe he was referring to thieves? People who commit petty crimes, break into cars, steal jewelry, you know that kind of thing?

And he was questioned. Did you not see the video of him being brought to the police station in handcuffs?

alledgedly, based on some post on his twitter account, he's got a history of violence. Let's ignore Zimmerman's factual history of violence then? One has a KNOWN history of violence. The other has a post on twitter. No charge from a bus driver, nothing else on that.

Don't take this as a comment on the shooting, just the media and message-board bias and distortion of the facts.

There is no factual evidence that Zimmerman has a history of violence, as you claim.

He was accused of pushing his fiancee after she pushed him, and he non-violently interfered with a cop who was roughing up his friend.

huh? isnt that exactly what a court is? i mean sure there are "facts" too, but yeah....all they need to do is convince a jury one way or another, and "what if's" help paint that picture for them

then he non-violently shot a person to death

Trayon Martin was not a skinny kid. He was a fairly-ripped football player who talked tough and acted tough. He confronted a stranger who was stalking him. Many of us would do the same, but probably not if we felt physically outmatched. If he didn't throw the first punch he was murdered.

Since no crime had been committed and no reason existed to believe one was about to be committed, I think some degree of manslaughter is the best Zimmerman can hope for even if Martin hit him first which is probably what happened. He stalked him, ignored the dispatcher's instructions to stop following and let the police check it out, eventually alarmed Martin enough to cause a confrontation.

While he may have ultimately shot in self defense, he was the original aggressor and created the situation entirely out of nothing.

The desperate "need" to present this as a one-sided racial vendetta against a cute, cuddly, defenseless 14 year old (the photo used by the family and 99% of the media) does nothing to further the cause of justice. Neither does looting stores, offering a bounty, making a hate crime out of it.

FWIW, Sanford, FL has a crime rate much higher than the national average:

If anything, Mr Martin had the right to use lethal force in self defense.

On a different subject how did a guy who supposedly get punched, then his head repeatedly have his head bashed, have time to get his gun out and shoot his attacker? I mean, either his head is getting bashed and he can't do anything OR he's walking away and you don't need to shoot him.

Neither had any legal right to attack the other. Both made stupid mistakes. Now one is dead and one may as well be.

Kill.....................the White Man......................Kill, Kill....................the white man.............

Oh, my bad, no whites involved here........

Interesting interview of George Zimmerman's father. Collateral damage for Obama's agenda.

http://www.myfoxtampabay.com/dpp/ne...ill-zimmerman-zimmermans-father-says-03282012

AMPA - The father of 28-year-old George Zimmerman spoke out Wednesday night. In an exclusive interview with FOX 35's Valerie Boey, Robert Zimmerman says he and his family have gotten thousands of death threats.

He asked that his face not be shown as he explained what happened the night his son shot and killed Trayvon Martin.

Robert Zimmerman says George Zimmerman was going to the store when he saw someone he did not recognize as living in the community.

"Because there have been a lot of break-ins in the area, he thought that was suspicious that someone would not be walking on the street or the sidewalk. That he'd be walking by the town homes," Zimmerman said.

That's when Zimmerman says his son called polic

"He called the non-emergency number first, and they asked him where he was. Because he was at the rear of the townhouses and there was no street sign," Zimmerman said.

Even though a dispatcher told Zimmerman not to follow Martin, his father says he continued walking to locate an address to give to police.

"He lost sight of the individual, he continued to walk down the same sidewalk to the next street so he could get an address for the police. He went to the next street, realized where he was, and was walking to his vehicle," Zimmerman said.

That's when Robert Zimmerman says Trayvon Martin walked up to George Zimmerman.

"It's my understanding at that point Trayvon Martin walked up to him, asked him, 'do you have a f---in problem?' George said 'no, I don't have a problem,' and started to reach for his cell phone. At that point, he was punched in the nose, his nose was broken, and he was knocked to the concrete," Robert Zimmerman said.

...SNIP...

Robert Zimmerman is a former judge and Vietnam Veteran. He says he has never had to deal with anything like this. He says seeing the President, the NAACP and others react hasn't been easy.

"Unimaginable. Tough was being in Vietnam and other things in my life. This is way beyond anything I can imagine," he said.

Zimmerman says he believes his son will be cleared of any wrongdoing, and he has a message to all the critics out there.

"I'm sorry for the hate going around, from the attorneys, from everyone involved. They're just making up things that are not true about George. How he is being portrayed is just an absolute lie," he said.

Still wondering how Denny thinks that police can charge people with crimes. lol

I really thought he was all gung ho against the NDAA of 2012, specifically the infinite detention. He says one thing, but when he doesn't agree he seems to look the other way. :MARIS61:
